Where is the turn signal flasher located 97 toyota avalon

  • Bill D'Ambra Apr 11, 2014

Turn signal flasher is a pain, its located behind the instrument cluster. The radio trim, driver side vent, and trim all around the speedo needs to come off. The gauge cluster must then be pulled out. Behind there you will find the factory three pronged flasher.

If the right side signals are working properly and you can hear the signal flasher clicking when the right side signals are selected, the flasher is not the problem. Its more likely you have a short to ground in the left side wiring somewhere.

SOURCE: need location of the turn signal flasher on a 2004 toyota avalon

Hi there:
The flasher relay is high up on the drivers kick panel near the top of the dash . You have to loosen the parking brake pedal assyembly and move it out of the way to gain acces to the flasher.

Some models, the flasher is indeed located above the parking brake. The parking brake needs to be unbolted from the body. 3 nuts on studs hold it on. Top one is impossible to see and must be done by feel. Hard to move away when unbolted.

The flasher is also very hard to pull out of the socket-
hard to grab while laying all twisted half out of the car.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Were its the fuse relay flasher located in avalon 98 xl toyota

A fuse and a relay are two different things. Which are you looking for? By 'flasher' do you mean the turn signals? Try this website where they will be listed as "Turn Signals".

1996 Toyota Avalon turn signals don't work, but hazards do?

Turn signals and hazard lights are 2 totally different switches. You basically verified that the flasher unit works, but the turn signal switch is broken.

1997 Toyota Avalon turn signals and hazards quit working, fuses are both good, could it be the relay

I think you have only one flasher for both signals and hazards (whereas there are separate fuses), so replace the flasher.

Turn signal don't work or the flashers?

If you still have flasher problems, I read on Google to spray WD-40 down in and around the hazzard flasher button, then press it up and down several times...and BINGO...all flashers and signals worked again....just had some dirt and dust in the wiring....
