Check your gas cap. If that is fine, check any and all vaccum lines, the EVAP system and any gas leaks.

I have a code po457, po455. po456 on my 2007 jeep commander what that mean?

no engine size stated, so>???? how can we guess.

did you look in the FSM book yet, ?
it covers all that.
it means something is busted.
alldata.com long and and read. its there 24/7, just look.
the 455 series are all EVAP failure.
do you know what that means (tank vent system closed?)
it means you must test the EVAP system.
first drive with gas cap , tight, (or new cap)
and clear the DTCs with the scan tool ,
does the DTC error end? good
no , then its a real failure.
step 2 in the fsm is , get the system pressure or leakdown tested.
"takes tools to do that"

ill print out 457
P0457-Loose Fuel CAP

see that? verbatum. from FSM.

googling jeep P0457 will get 9000 hits
https://www.google.com/webhp?gws_rd=ssl#q=+jeep+P0457

ever google?

Error code 340 & 457

  • P0340 - Camshaft position sensor circuit malfunction.
  • P0457 - Evaporative emission control system leak detected (fuel filler cap loose/off)

There is a bulletin #0398 posted on 05/12/2003 for P0457 - Malfunction indicator lamp (mil) illumination with diagnostic trouble codes p0442, p0455, p0456, p0457, p1442 or check fuel cap lamp illuminated with diagnostic trouble code p0457.

An error code of 0457 came up. any idea what that is?

P0457 FORD - EVAP Control System Leak Detected (Fuel Filler Cap Loose/Off)
EVAP control system has a very large leak such as fuel filler cap fell off, EVAP control system does not operate properly.

Vehicles that meet enhanced evaporative requirements utilize a vacuum-based evaporative system integrity check. The evap system integrity check uses a Fuel Tank Pressure Transducer (FTPT), a Canister Vent Solenoid (CVS) and Fuel Level Input (FLI) along with the Vapor Management Valve (VMV) or Electric Vapor Management Valve (EVMV) to find 0.040" diameter or larger evap system leaks. Federal vehicles can utilize a 0.040" leak check rather than the 0.020" leak check required for California vehicles (click over pic for zoom).

Symptoms:
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Possible a noticeable fuel odor caused by the release of fuel vapors

Possible causes:
- Missing fuel filler cap
- Incorrect fuel filler cap used
- Fuel filler cap remains open or fails to close
- Foreign matter caught in fuel filler cap

Possible solution:
- Retight or replaced fuel tank filler cap
