Sounds like you are right own...to change each bulb...you need to remove the chrome grill from the front center...be sure to pry up the clips carefully so not to break the trim bar...then each headlight assembly is removable with 3 10 mm bolts...do not touch your exposed fingers on the new bulbs...yes the low/high bulb is one unit...that is why I believe it is just your bulbs...about $11. each...Hope this helps.
open the hood - find the 3 or 4 plastic clips that hold on the grill ( the center of the clip will pry up with a small screwdriver ) once the plastic clips are removed pull the grill towards you and gently pull on the headlight frame assembly. The grill will not come off so don't try to force it. Once you have the headlight assembly out remove the bulb that beeds replacing ( when replacing do not touch with bare skin use a rag or paper towel ) Put it all back together reversed from removing it. Hope this helps
raise the hood
look at the back of the headlight
you will see a plug where the wire goes into the headlight
turn the plug and the light will come out
be careful not to touch the new bulb with your bare hands or it will burn out shortly after installation.
not sure on the 2005s, but if the battery has been moved to the driver side for that year you will have to remove the battery to install the headlight.
There are no screws need to be removed from the headlight bezel as the lamp need be only removed from the rear. On the rear of the headlight unplug the wiring harness, then turn the big hand screw /catch only 1/4 turn and pull out the socket and lamp straight out. then replace the burnt lamp and do the reverse of which you did to get it out.
This is a convoluted process, but rather simple. The grills has to come off and then the radiator cover (???) then you can access the back of the headlight assy. The guy at Auto Zone showed me how.
