After you get all the bolts loose and removed from the starter, disconnect batt cable and wires from solenoid. After all wires and cables are removed, turn the starter 180 degrees and remove it backwards. When you re-install the starter, do it in reverse order the way it came out. Once the starter is in position then turn 180 degrees around to line up the bolt holes. Connect cable and wires accordingly.

Need to replace starter

I recommend you get the Haynes repair manual on your vehicle. Start by removing the negative battery terminal, then removing the retaining bolts from the starter followed by removing the wires from the starter. Reverse the process to put the new starter on.

Unscrew and disconect the wires. Unscrew and remove the 2-17mm bolt's. Their is a small stud which holds the starter in place leave it to last unscrew it and thats it.

Starter problems?

I just had to replace the starter on mine and you have to cut the exhaust pipe off to remove the starter. Take the 3 nuts off where the exhaust is attached to the manifold then using a sawzall I cut it in the straight section after the bend so it could sleeved and welded back with ease, once the pipe is out of the way the starter will just about fall out. Bad design by Isuzu. Perhaps some sort of pay back if you know what I mean.
