Hello, By your description, it sounds like you are talking about your 'Sway Bar Link' on both sides are broken. This is a relatively easy fix given that you have the right tools available to you.

these are known as cradle bushings. the frame around engine is called the cradle. you can get mounts from ford should just replace these and be fine

It is not safe if the seat belts are hooked to the original chassis points, in a crash there will be 1000's of pounds pulling on these, the mounting may tear the body metal and cause serious injury, I would strongly recommend you fix the original system, how much is your well being worth in a crash?

Yes you will, and I would check the other suspension parts for wear first, ball joints are a major problem on this vehicles and cause the tires wear.
