SOURCE: 95 Lumina rear brakes/low pedal.

IT IS POSSIBLE THE WHEEL CYLINDERS are wrong and need too much fluid to push brakes out. or rear shoes are not adjusted correct. this could be from drums too big(unlikely since new) shoes are not fitting to drum correct. You can take shoes off and set them in drum the whole shoe should contact drum sometimes just the ends contact. If this is case sand off ends of lining to make it fit .
If wheel cylinders are bad they would leak. might try a different brand of cylinders.

Your local junk yard will have an interchange guide. I can tell you your speedometer will be off and you will probably get worse gas mileage. Can you swap the break set around. I would almost bet if you have ABS it will be an issue.

How do you adjust the parking brake on a 1993 chevy lumina ?

There should be a threaded rod end near the point at which both cables come together in the rear. In many cases, the nut that needs to turn on the threads is very rusty and won't turn without breaking. In the case of rear disc brakes, make sure the rear calipers and their slides work properly.

Help with installing brake shoes on 1993 buick park ave

Your Buick has front disc brakes...and rear drum brakes...the usual concern is the front pads as they are used more...these are the easiest pads to replace...as you only need to remove the caliper from the rotor with 2 bolts to lift off...Be sure to push the piston all the way back into the caliper to install new pads...rotors are pop offs too...The rear drum is different...the brake shoes are held on with clips and springs...try keeping one of the shoe assemblies intact while you switch out the other shoes...be sure to inspect the rear wheel brake cylinders for possible leaking...usually an oil build up inside the brake drum...these are inexpensive and should be switched out on a 93 Buick...:) Hope this helps.
