SOURCE: Truck sometimes starts, sometimes quits after running

It sounds like you have a defective fuel pump or a bad fuel pressure regulator.

Can you please tell me where the hydraulic tank is for 1985 Diahatsu delta tipper is

First, I'm not a Diahtsu mechanic.
* Check your warranty and call for service.
*** Following is for information only ***
* Truck Specs; http://www.daihatsu.co.za/media/delta.pdf
* PTO pump; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-6Si20q1LU
* To find the Hydraulic system. Follow the lift piston (to the dump frame) hoses to the valve diverter. which is in the cab or on the side. There will be additional hoses that are connected to the pump. Most pumps are directly attached to the hydraulic oil tank. It may be mounted directly on top of the tank. The is to prevent the pump from running dry. If there is a remote tank then it should still be mounted very close (within 3 feet) as long hoses will reduce the power of the pump.
* Hydraulic systems; can be tricky. High pressures are used to lift heavy (Tons!) loads.
* Be safe. Call for service.

What fuse controls the dump bed on a Chevy 3500. It won't go up or down now. The motor stopped working when putting it down and then released fluid. Now it does nothing. What do I check? What fuse is it...

Amber,

Since your dump bed is not a dealer installed option, it could be anything.....Do you know who installed the dump bed? From your post,....it sounds like you experienced a hydraulic fluid leak as motors don't have any fluid in them. You need to take it to someone who can check out the hydraulic system and troubleshoot the drive motor if it isn't working...also I would bet money that you hydraulic system is empty of fluid! Shops that work on large trucks (ie garbage, dump, or other trucks with wet systems...wet meaning hydraulic systems that do something on the truck) should be able to diagnose and fix your problem. good luck

Describe a dump truck lever

Its usually metal and is found between the Dump Bed and the Cab of the Truck. Sometimes it has a plastic grip on the end so you don't have to touch he metal and even better... Some Dumps today are really cool and you no longer need to get out of the truck to DUMP the load. Just make sure if you are trying to use the dump to drop a load that you un-hook the gate but you probably already know that.

How do I get my 1998 Chevy 1 Ton dump to lift a full load of materials?

Well, if you are not leaking fluid everywhere it can only be 2 things, either the cylinder is not holding pressure internally or the pump is not making enough pressure. I would start by getting the cylinder rebuilt, this is common and usually cheaper than having the pump rebuilt.

Which fuse governs the dump hydraulic pump for the dump body?

This system is not provided by Ford, so look for heavy wires at the pump, and trace those back to battery power.

Fuses will most likely not be in the fuse panel.

1994 chevy 3500 1 ton dump hyd problem when I activate the hyd unit, I can hear the pump running, and it seems to develope a load on the motor, but the cylinder does not lift. I had the dump body...

There should be a bleeder valve on the cylinder itself somewhere. Otherwise with air in the system, Im surprised no hyd fluid came out the top of the cylinder!
