Engine oil change - Quantity

I don't have a hyundai accent manual with my car. I am planning to change engine oil myself and would like to know whats the engine oil quantity i need to buy.
I see that this car drinks a lot of oil and i need to top it up every 700 miles or so. Was wondering it its because of my dirty oil.

Also, can any one suggest some website where i can download 2002 hyundai accent manual please.

Its 3 1/2 Quarts, but you might as well put a full 4 quarts in if it goes through that much. make sure you change the filter aswell! dirty oil will not cause your engine to go through it any faster. Is the oil leaking or is the engine burning it?

if it is a unibody then it will have an engine cradle or sub-frame that supports the engine and transmission. If you plan on replacing the subframe you will need to support the engine and transmission from the top side with an engine support fixture.

Hyundai makes a very good, low problem car. They don't seem to have any issues that other cars don't, and with proper maintenance, should easily get over 350,000 km. Timing belts and water pumps are common as well as basic maintenance items like oil changes and brake pads. Good luck!

This is a major repair requiring the complete disassembly of the top end of the motor. I'd recommend at least that you purchase the appropriate repair manual from Chilton, Haynes etc before you attempt this.

I have a 2000 Hyundai Accent, Manual. Just replace the fuel pump but its still not getting gas to the plugs to start though it does try to turn over.
did you change the filter,(it may be plugged) doese it have fuel...is the new pump alligned in the right direction(pumping fuel to the engine/pumping fuel to the tank)

theirs a big black cap on the top of the engine. just unscrew it and fill. it should be located on the left side by the injection system/airflow tube.
