There is a recall on the 02 avalanche for some ABS sensor. You can get fixed if you live in a state where it snows, According to GM "The Salt-Band" type in 02 Avalanche abs recall, you will see it. Good luck!

Have someone check the front wheel sensors. I had same on '02 northface. as I recall it was part of the hub assembly, which on everything BUT the avalache had been recalled - even though it is same part number. Go figure

Try removing sensor and wipe off grit as this can cause an erradic signal causing brakes to pulsate at low speed

Did you bleed the system after doing the brakes? and since you din't say abs light I assume you mean the brakes are acting erratically. If you bleed the breaks first after that try it and if it still does it make sure you have the correct rotors and pads.

Why is the left front tire thumping and the brake pedal vibrating when I stop

ABS thinks you are skidding, and is applying the brakes on and off. Likely one of the ABS sensors is bad.

I have 2002 chrysler grand voyager 3.3 litre auto. abs light came on and is gone now , but there is a lot of vibration and rattle when i press brake. What do i do?

Inspect both the front and rear brakes. Including rotors, drums( if equipped in rear), abs sensors and wiring to the sensors, and brake pads/shoes. Also be sure to remove the calipers and look at the brake pads to check for worn out or uneven wear and replace if necessary. Hope this helps

I wat to make my abs light on avalanch go off how do i do this

The ABS light is triggered (usually) when one or more of the wheel mounted sensors fails. Especially the front ones. They are magnetic, and pick up the metal shavings from the rotors. Once they get sufficiently fouled, they kick on the ABS light. Usually cleaning them and resetting the computer will shut off the light. In rare cases you'll have to replace one or all of the wheel sensors.

Brake pedal vibrates while braking and doesent stop right away

There's speed sensors at each wheel. You may have got some contamination in front of one of them... sounds like the abs is trying to compensate for un equal speed at each wheel... and something may be blocking a proper read at one of the wheels...

Emergency brakelight/ABS light remains on.

You have fault in your abs/traction control system. You need to find a shop that can read the code for you before I can give you any more information on this problem.
