Hello: I was wondering if anyone could answer this question: I cannot find a firing diagram for the 2002 Jag XT 3.0. Only the 2003 and 2001 diagrams. I am repairing my Jag and I've run into a problem. The check engine light is instructing that I repair Cylinder 2. However, Cylinder 2's plug was good. I am now unsure if I am getting the correct reading. Can someone please tell me where is Cylinder 2 located? Front or back? Thanks!

1998 Jaguar XJ8 cylinder numerotation:
1234 right bank on the passenger's side, and 5678 left bank on the driver's side.
In other words cylinder five is the 1st one on the driver's side closest to the front of the belts.

The number 2 cylinder is in front of the car on the passenger side closest to the oil cap. The cylinders on the firewall side are the odd number, front of the car even number starting from the passenger side to drivers. Rear are 1,3,5 and front cylinders are 2,4,6. The firing order will simple be 123456. Let us know if we can be of further help.

Had the same problem an old hose had a hole in it. changed hose,problem solved. also bank 1 is passenger side. i have a 2000 jaguar stype.
