Fob didn't work so the alarm immobiliser was armed and active when the locksmith opened the car - with predictable results.
Fob still not working - broken or needs new battery. Have you fitted a new battery into the fob?
The alarm immobiliser will probably remain armed until the doors have been locked and then unlocked with the fob.
There is a small chance the system can be fooled into thinking it has been disarmed by disconnecting the battery (overnight if poss) and then with the door open and the ignition key in and turned on, when the battery is reconnected it might be possible to start the engine...
After connecting up your battery, all VW need to be reset or they will just turn over but not fire up.<br />Put the key into the drivers door lock and hold over to unlock(the windows will go down),wait 30 secs, then lock and hold key over(the windows will go up and if fitted, the sunroof will close)wait 30 secs.then press/hold down the unlock button on the remote, thats it, you have reset the system and the car should start as normal.
The alarm system probably needs to be reset. With the door closed cycle the key in the drivers door lock cylinder and it should reset the alarm system.
you need to reset the alarm/immobiliser,(or if that dont work, check battery charge).its been awhile since i worked for toyota so forgive me if i pass on how to reset.(ive forgotten)
Your Immobiliser has activated the alarm, you must deactivate the immobiliser to deactivate the alarm. go into the car (even if siren is wailing and your neighbours are nosy) close the door and put key in the ignition, turn key to ACC position. Hold down unlock button till you see indicators flash once. Remove keys and get out of the vehicle. Try unlocking and locking. This should be reset.
you need to reset alarm/immobiliser.lock car with remote, hold button down for 30 secs, then press/hold down unlock button, should reset.another way is with key in ignition/turned on, press alarm button down and hold for 30 secs.this resets immobiliser.toyota
systems vary..depending on market.
