First check if there is a fuel pressure in line. You can feal this by opening ignition, then pressing fuel input line with fingers within 5 second you have to feal pulsation. If there is pressure, then you have to read trouble codes, perhaps there are some problems with crank/cam shaft position sensors. You will need scan tool for this.

SOURCE: 1997 nissan sentra keeps dying

Check distributor and fuel, when car dies check for what is missing when it won't start back up. It can be only gas or spark and trust me one is missing. Good Luck

SOURCE: 88 nissan truck wont start

I traced a similar problem in my truck to a rubber bumper on the clutch pedal which had disintegrated so the disengage switch was not being closed, preventing the ignition from working.

I bent a piece of aluminum flashing to contact the switch when I push the pedal to the floor and it works every time.

98 Chevy 1500 Running down road dies Has fuel. Has spark.

If it has spark to the plugs, normal compression, and fuel, it should start. So assuming it does have normal compression, I would want to know if it will try to start by spraying carb cleaner into the throttle body to substitute the injector spray. One of the three components is missing.
Another thing to check is the distributor cap and rotor to make sure spark is reaching all of the plugs at the right time.

My 98 for explorer runs bad after I changed the spark plugs an wires and fuel filter and coil what now

You'll need to double check each item you replaced one by one to find the cause. I recommend (In the future) to replace wires, start & check engine. Replace fuel filter, start & check, coil then star & check.
For wires, make sure you have wires going to correct locations, check for possible damage to spark plugs (Cracks or breaks), and good connections.
Fuel filter, make sure it's in proper orientation as to flow direction as seen on the arrow stamped on the side, showing flow direction. and make sure you are not leaking fuel anywhere.
Coil... Again, check connections and proper wiring.
You might also wish to check for proper "Hot" (Bright Blueish spark) at the plugs.. Wear heavy insulated gloves or use well insulated grips to hold plugs against engine block to view spark.
A dimer orange spark = bad connection or faulty wire.
Also if you have a manual, they usually have detailed troubleshoot guides.
Best of luck on a speedy diagnosis!

I got my 1997 mecury cougar spark plugs changed and a week later my car lost power and stopped running.ive changed a fuel filter, batterie and coil paks on it.it doesnt want to start

you'll have to see if its missing fuel, air,or spark.Fuel could be bad fuel pump, air something clogging air filter duct, spark bad coil,or coils, crank sensor.

-turns over but won't start -changed fuel filter

Check your battery as it supplies juice for the coil. Then check your coil or coilpak and the crankshaft sensor. The bad spark may be an underlying reason for how the truck has been running.

Do you know if the fuelpump is working? The Inertia sensor may have tripped while you changed regulators. You may need to reset the button on it to connect the fuelpump.

The vehicle died during the morning warm up process, now it just cranks and won't fire. It turns over well, but won't start????

Do you have spark at the end of the plug wires? Have you changed your fuel filter lately? Just some things to check first.

TWO DAYS AGO 94 RANGER (4 CYL) SOHC...STOPPED ON ROAD. CRANKS BUT DOES NOT START. HAS FUEL PRESSURE. CHANGED FUEL FILTER. CHANGED AIR FILTER. CHANGED ONE OF THE DISTRIBUTOR COILS...TWO SPARK WIRES WERE NOT...

If all the coils are giving spark now, then you moat likely have gas fouled plugs now,so change them out with new ones, all 8 of them.If you do not have spark on all plug wires, pull the timing belt cover, and align the cam shaft and the cam,to see if the belt has jumped. If It hasn`t,replace the crankshaft sensor.

Changing spark plugs

Changing the spark plugs on a 1997 Ford Expedition 5.4L engine takes patience. Remember to start this project on a cold engine! I started on the passenger side by locating the Coil over iginition coils and cleaned out all the old dirt using some compressed air. Then I had to disconnect the electrical connections to both the Coil over ignition coils and the passenger side fuel injectors. Once you remove the small bolt which holds the ignition coil in place, use your compressed air again to blow out the spark plug hole. After that, you will need a 5/8" swivel spark plug socket and various length extensions to remove the spark plugs. Take your time because there is not much room for your hands. Before installing the new plug, check the gap and use clean engine oil on the new threads. Tighten the new spark plug and reinstall the coil over ignition coil. Reconnect the electrical connection to both the ignition coil and the fuel injector. Continue these steps with all eight spark plugs. You will find the ones on the drivers side are difficult because of the fuel rail gets in your way. Have patience and use swivel extensions to work around the tight spaces. When you are done, you will have saved lots of money! Don't forget to replace your air filter, fuel filter, and pcv valve to complete your tune up.
