Truck would not start so changed fuel filter ,still not running changed spark plugs ,coil , still having problems does any one have any ideas
First check if there is a fuel pressure in line. You can feal this by opening ignition, then pressing fuel input line with fingers within 5 second you have to feal pulsation. If there is pressure, then you have to read trouble codes, perhaps there are some problems with crank/cam shaft position sensors. You will need scan tool for this.

Check distributor and fuel, when car dies check for what is missing when it won't start back up. It can be only gas or spark and trust me one is missing. Good Luck

I traced a similar problem in my truck to a rubber bumper on the clutch pedal which had disintegrated so the disengage switch was not being closed, preventing the ignition from working.
I bent a piece of aluminum flashing to contact the switch when I push the pedal to the floor and it works every time.

if the engine is not missing, and only idling rough,
you might want to check for vacuum leaks in hoses,or dirty injectors
