Hi,bought audi a3 2000 manual a month ago,changed the engine and had a general service..but the engine light constantly on plus airbag red light and yellow triangle warning light on..any help pls?took it twice to electrician,put on the computer,displayed no faults,lights when off,after starting the car all those 3 lights on again..
NEED CODE FAULTS AND THE ECUS THAT THEY COME ON!!

hi,so thnx a lot..today i got the car...all lights off..he checked the computer and all is ok..just i need to change some part,is looking like a black tube going to the engine,i dont remember the name what he told me..he said also is going to eat less petrol cuz of that..anw i took it to an electrician,here in cyprus is kind of difficult and really expensive to check up the german cars..the dont like them..everyone prefers japanese cars..but as i understood now suppose to be everything ok :) finally

The only real way is to get the fault codes (=DTC's) read with VAG software. Check my other VW solutions for details on how.

SOURCE: engine misses, then shut off, won't start again
not sure about the 2008 model, but the earlier ones had coil pack problems. it looks like part of the rocker cover with around four torque screws holding it down and one multi plug at the end on the n/s of the engine. oh they used to blow the fuse at the same time for the engine management. 30amp dooor pillar/"A"post area.
test by removing the coil pack, fitting the spark plugs into the plug outlets. earth the body of each plug and crank the engine, you shoukld see a spark, if not then there are other tests before confirming the coil pack. let me know how you get on.

On a Prius, when the check engine light comes on it indicates a malfunction in the powertrain control system. You need to have the car scanned for codes to see where the fault lies. The red triangle lights because the check engine light is on. The VSC is disabled when the check engine light is on and that light comes on.
Start with having the car scanned.
