That is the code for the brake pedal position sensor located on the outside of the brake booster. Held in by one clip and fairly easy to replace.

2012 freightliner cascadia DD15 fault code ECU 1... prior to the fault code the engine bogged down really bad and solid yellow and check engine light come on.

an answer from just answers reports this
ecu 1 fault means the engine ECM has an internal fault and needs to be replaced
most of the time with this code it is not the ECM itself but usually a wiring problem going to the ECm
there should be 2 fuses for the ECM either next to the ecm in plastic covers by a starter or in a plastic box
check all wiring going to and from the engine and battery grounds
especially the grounds
check for wires rubbed through and loose terminals
take it to a service dealer for a proper diagnosis as it costs money wasting time trying to find the fault yourself as a truck standing still is not earning it's keep

I have 2005 Volvo S80 that would not start the other day and then the next went ahead and started. It produced several error codes and now a permanent "Engine Service Maintenance required" is permanently...

9400 is the brake pedal switch - and often just that switch.

400c is the evaporative emissions system - often a gas cap that isn't screwed on tight, but it could be a leaky hose, or emissions pump etc.

928c is the steering wheen control module - either you need to replace that, or it's the power steering module.

720A is the immobilizer and means that the computer doesn't see or get the right code from the immobilizer. I believe this is the unit that senses that you have the right key inserted before starting.

E003 is usually a DIM (driver information module) fault, basically a problem with the cluster. A software reload for that might fix it, or replacement of the instrument cluster.

If all of these errors happened at the same time, I would say that the ECM has the hiccups. You can either find the ECM fuse inside the driver side door fuse box (open door, open lid to fuse box, remove fuse... 25? there's a diagram on the lid).
Otherwise remove the negative battery cable in the trunk for an hour or so and then turn the ignition to Pos II and then reconnect it. That should clear the brain.

Code p0443

Fault Code:- P0443 Indicates a Power-train fault

The fault is generally due to a problem in the Emission Control area

Fault Description: EVAP canister purge valve circuit malfunction

Action of ECM:- ECM Default: - Canister purge inhibited - Adaptive fuel metering inhibited

After clearing the DTC, complete the Purge system monitor drivecycle
Check for a reoccurrence of fault DTC.

Possible Fault:- EVAP Canister purge valve to ECM drive circuit: open circuit, short circuit, high resistance EVAP Canister purge valve power supply circuit: open circuit, short circuit EVAP Canister purge valve operating vacuum hose leak / restriction EVAP Canister purge valve failure

I have a 2002 Jaguar X-type. The check engine light came on and it has been acting jumpy/shaky. I recently took it to be diagnosed and the codes I recieved back were P1314, P1316, P1111, and P0302..What do...

All fault codes can be checked out at http://www.bluejag.co.uk but here are the results for some of yours. You can ignor P1111. Looks like a faulty plug or coil pack cylinder 2

Fault Code:- P1314 Indicates a Power-train fault

The fault is generally due to a problem in the Ignition or Misfire area

Fault Description: Misfire rate catalyst damage -bank 2 NOTE: This DTC will flag only when accompanied by an individual cylinder misfire DTC: P0300 - P0306

Action of ECM:- ECM Default:- Maximum engine speed reduced

After clearing the DTC, complete the Misfire monitor drive cycle
Check for a reoccurrence of fault DTC.

Possible Fault:- Cylinder compression low Worn camshaft / broken valve spring(s) Fuel delivery pressure (low / high) Fuel injector(s) restricted / leaking Fuel injector(s) continuously open Fuel contamination Fuel injector circuit fault(s) (Injector DTCs also flagged) Spark plug failure / fouled / incorrect gap ECM to ignition coil primary circuit fault (Cylinder misfire detected DTC also flagged) Ignition coil failure
Fault Code:- P1316 Indicates a Power-train fault

The fault is generally due to a problem in the Ignition or Misfire area

Fault Description: Misfire excess emission NOTE: This DTC will flag only when accompanied by an individual cylinder misfire DTC: P0300 - P0306

Action of ECM:- none

After clearing the DTC, complete the Misfire monitor drive cycle
Check for a reoccurrence of fault DTC.

Possible Fault:- Cylinder compression low Worn camshaft / broken valve spring(s) Fuel delivery pressure (low / high) Fuel injector(s) restricted / leaking Fuel injector(s) continuously open Fuel contamination Fuel injector circuit fault(s) (Injector DTCs also flagged) Spark plug failure / fouled / incorrect gap ECM to ignition coil primary circuit fault (Cylinder misfire detected DTC also flagged) Ignition coil failure

Fault Code:-
P0302 Indicates a Power-train fault

The fault is generally due to a problem in the Ignition or Misfire area

Fault Description: Misfire detected ?€" cylinder 2

Action of ECM:- none

After clearing the DTC, complete the Misfire monitor drive cycle
Check for a reoccurrence of fault DTC.

Possible Fault:- Refer to P0300 Possible Causes
