As you can see, the blower resister and hvac control module are on the ground side of blower motor. In my diagram, the orange wire is ground. Hope this helps.
Yes, if use jumper wire from orange wire to ground, the blower will run, probably only hi speed.
REPLACE THERMOSTAT.IF ALREADY DONE.CHECK HEATER BLOWER MOTOR SEE IF POWER GOING TO HEATER BLOWER MOTOR.IF YES BLOWER MOTOR BAD.IF NO POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR CHECK AC AND HEATER CONTROL FUSE AND CHECK BLOWER MOTOR FUSE AND RELAY IF ALL IS GOOD CHECK SEE IF POWER GOING TO AC AND HEATER CONTROL SWITCH IF YES THE AC AND HEATER CONTROL SWITCH COULD BE BAD.
CHECK AC AND HEATER CONTROL FUSE. IF FUSE OKAY CHECK BLOWER SEE IF POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR IF YES BLOWER MOTOR MORE LIKELY FAULTY.IF NO POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR CHECK BLOWER MOTOR FUSE ANDRELAY.
CHECK SEE IF POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR IF YES BLOWER MOTOR EITHER BAD OR HAS POOR GROUND SHORT IN WIRING CONNECTOR GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR AND RESISTOR.IF NO POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR CHECK BLOWER MOTOR 30 AMP FUSE OR RELAY.IF BLOWER MOTOR OKAY AND FUSE RELAY OKAY THE AC AND HEATER CONTROL SWITCH COULD BE BAD.
CHECK BLOWER MOTOR RELAY ALSO, AND USE A TEST LIGHT TO SEE IF POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR, IF YES BLOWER MOTOR FAULTY.IF NO POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR AND FUSE AND RELAY OKAY CONTROL SWITCH COULD BE BAD,A RESISTOR BAD MOST OF THE TIME IF YOU DONT HAVE BUT A FEW FAN BLOWER CONTROL SPEEDS.
REPLACE BLOWER MOTOR RELAY.HOOK TEST LIGHT SEE POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR IF YES BLOWER MOTOR FAULTY.IF NO POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR, FAULTY RELAY, FAULTY CONTROL SWITCH OR POOR GROUND AT WIRE TO BLOWER MOTOR.
CHECK BLOWER MOTOR FUSE AND RELAY.SEE IF POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR YOU HAVE FAULTY BLOWER MOTOR.IF BLOWER MOTOR FUSE AND RELAY OKAY.IF NO POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR BUT POWER AT AC AND HEATER CONTROL SWITCH. BLOWER MOTOR HAS POOR GROUND OR AC AND HEATER CONTROL SWITCH IS BAD.
There are several things to check before you replace the blower, first you need a multi-meter to see if power is even going to the blower. start the vehicle, and turn the blower on. disconnect the wires at the blower, and check for power. This will tell you if your getting power at the blower. If you are, then you know the blower is bad. If no power, then check your wiring going back,. just ot make sure no broken wires. You then can check the switch, and relay. Hope this helps
CHECK SEE IF POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR.IF YES BLOWER MOTOR COULD BE BAD OR HAVE HAVE A POOR GROUND.IF NO POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR FUSE GOOD.YOU COULD HAVE FAULTY HVAC CONTROL MODULE WHICH IS YOUR BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL SWITCH.
Its possible that your blower motor is bad. one way to test it is to use a test light and check your power wire going to the blower, if it shows there is power going directly to the blower, then most likely, the blower is bad, but check your ground just to be sure. If there is no power going to your blower, then check your resistor. If theres no power going to the resistor, then check the plug going to the resistor and continuiously work your way to the switches, but always starting at the blower, or accessorie that isnt working, and making your way through the system until you get to the source of the electrical current.
Hope this helps.
