You can use the car diagnostic tool check your car first: http://www.xcardiag.com/

Either you may be using a key that you had copied from the original or your chip went bad in your original key. Most of cars now a days have the key censor in the key so if it is the incorrect key it will not start your car or if it does not read that chip it will not start
SOURCE: ford taurus will not shift from low gear
I have a 2001 ford taurus and i have transmission fluid leaking on ground when it runs. i was driving it today and it would not shift gears. Then when i got home i saw transmission fuild in the ground.
SOURCE: oil light
You could also have a weak pressure relief valve in the oil pump, or weak pump. You said the light flickers when you come to a stop. If your car is equipped with one, have the oil level sensor checked. It's mounted on the front of the oil pan. With the oil sloshing around in the oil pan and a bad sensor, would also cause the light to flicker. IF THE CAR IS EQUIPPED WITH ONE.
As for the key, if there is an ace hardware near you, go there, they can do it, the one here does, about $69.00. A dealer, probably a lot more.
