SOURCE: Can't remove water pump from 2007 Dodge Grand -

you must undo the three pully bolts turn the pully so it slips behind the mounting flange , then you should be able to wiggle it out , if it still hangs on frame you a long pry bar and push between frame and crankshaft bolt just hard enough to move engine slightly, this will definitly work and repeat to install. PS use a little RTV silicon to hold seal on new pump.

My 2007 lincoln mkx over heated yesterday so we shut it off right away. Found water/coolant in the crank case. Wondering what a common problem in these cars is that would cause this?
It could be from a head gasket problem so have a compression test done
most times if there is no evidence of a gasket failure , the reason can be found to be corrosion holes behind the water pump impeller in the timing chain housing
these holes allow water into the sump by way of the timing chain
if that is the case the fix is a new timing chain case

The filter is behind the glove box. Remove the glove box door, squeeze the upper rear corners inward. The door will come forward, and lift it completely off. There is a release tab on the right side of the filter access door. Open that and remove the filter.

Your owners manual has a schedule of maintenance in it.
Personally I would change trans fluid/filter at 50K unless you tow or qualify as severe service user. Check fluid monthly. Pay attention for leaks. Fluid should not be cloudy in color. Water will make fluid cloudy.

How often do I change the oil in my new Lincoln MKX ...every 2000 km or every 5000 km?
The owner's manual calls for changing oil and filter every 7500 miles in normal service, or if driving in dusty conditions, offroad, or lots of low speed and idling (a taxi or maybe an unlucky commuter), go to the extreme service intervals of 5000 miles. Changing oil every 3000 miles is definitely NOT required.
