6 Cylinder 4.0L runs great, has a severe oil leak(roughly 5qrts weekly), engine rattles in overdrive around 45mph and up, but can be reduced by removing gas pedal and accelerating again until vibration returns. All of this doesn't bother me but noting it incase the problem is related. Just replaced air valve regulator (New at this mechanic thing so idk the correct term) and the box that hold the harnesses for my spark plugs(firing order maybe off?) . My worry is my engine seems to click or misfire during operation of the engine and for about a minute or so after shut down. It sounds like it may be coming from the engine block itself. Has anyone ever experienced something like this?

if it sounds like a leak before the cat try removing the cat and running the vehicle

Sounds like you have some EGR ports clogged up, remove the intake and look at the egr ports all but
#1 cyl port will probably be at least partially clogged, hope this helps
SOURCE: Horrible Idle, Then Engine stalls
Sounds like the copper seal that the old owner put in quit working.
a lemon is still a lemon no matter how sour.

A misfire at idle that smooths out at cruise is ALMOST ALWAYS caused by a vacuum leak. Take a hard look at your fuel trims at idle. If the Bank 2 Long Term Fuel Trim is more than + a couple points higher than the Bank 1 trim, your problem is most likely a vacuum leak. If the Fuel Trims even-out while holding the engine at 2000 RPM for about 20 seconds, then a vacuum leak is DEFINITELY your problem. I would suspect a leaking lower intake gasket leak because an upper plenum leak will normally affect all cylinders.
