Water in oil means the jacket seals are bad. In some cases that happens when the block cracks from very cold temps. Either way you need to have the engine checked by a technician ASAP.

Yes it is a blown head gasket. All of these symptoms are sure signs of a blown head gasket. The only other thing that it can possibly be is a cracked head or cylinder. But 99 times out of 100 it is just a blown head gasket.

SOURCE: white smoke and oil from tail pipe

When you say: "the inside of her car", I'm going to assume you meant the engine compartment.
It sounds like she filled the air cleaner housing with water, probably the distributor cap as well. Check and dry both out thoroughly, change the oil. This should fix it up.

It is burning oil. Possibly bad valve seals or worn rings.

Hi: What Color is the Oil coming out of your Tail Pipe? I'm Assuming its Motor oil and not Transmission Oil.Since you found white looking substance in your oil It sounds like you have a Blown Head Gasket or both. And could be a Crank Block or Head ,Pull your Spark Plugs out, And Have someone Crank engine over and see if you are getting that white Substance Which i assume is Motor Oil.If you are getting ANY out of ANY Spark Plug hole then Is fair To Say you have a Blown Or Cracked Head Gasket.THERES only 1 Other Alternative On Older Vehicles than Yours is ,They Had what was Called a Vacum Modulator That Attached to the Auto Transmission, I worked off of Vacum From The Intake Manifold,And if the Diafram in It went Bad it would **** Transmission Fluid up Through the Intake Manifold and Burn It through your Intake and would come out tail Pipe as a WHITE SMOKE,But it normally would not be in the Enging Oil Or Radiator. So i Would 1st Check the 1st Advise i have Given You.Pull The Spark Plugs. Hope This Helps. Please REply by Voting if this Helped Youat All,Thanks From the WYOCWBOY

What cause white smoke coming out of exhause pipe

White smoke from the tail pipe is moisture/water turned to steam. It comes from the air drawn into the engine and/or coolant in the engine. If you see excessive white smoke and your coolant level is dropping, you are most likely steaming coolant.Oil burning usually comes out as blue smoke.

What causes white smoke to come from the tail pipe with strong fumes while in idle?

A heavy presence of white smoke from the tail pipe is usually caused by a bad headgasket. If this gasket is bad, the vehicle may run rough as well as overheat.

My 2005 gmc canyon just started blowing smoke out tail pipe but it doesnt do it everytime i start it. is this bad?

Possibly a leak in the head gasket. Take out the plugs and see if they are water wet. Run a compression check.

88 thunderbird white smoke and water coming from tail pipe

Possibly a blown head gasket, letting coolant into the cylinders to be burned. White smoke is usually coolant burning. Have the engine's compression tested to verify.

2005 pt cruiser white smoke out the tail pipe

Run it for a minute, then shut it down and pull the dipstick for the oil, see if there's water on it, that would tell you if the head gasket is bad. If you're still unsure, drain the oil into a pan and look for coolant in there

Pickup is getting hot, have put a new radiator, thermastat, new sensor. now is smoking out the tail pipe and trying to die. There is not water in the oil.

You don't always get water in the oil, with blown head gasket, if the smoke is white or like steam, back head gasket, engine got to hot.Your getting water in the cylinder's, that's why it's running with a cylinder miss.

Leaking oil put of tail pipe, is the cooling sensor important, head gasket blown how do you know

Never seen oil come from tail pipe (unless a piston has a broken ring or a hole burned in it.) Cooling sensor tells the computer the engine temp and the computer turns the fan on through the fan relay. Very important for it to work. A blown head gasket will make the engine overheat, can cause white smoke from tailpipe, coolant loss and extremely rough running. Also can cause coolant in engine oil or oil in radiator. What you may be seeing may be water mixed with carbon from the inside of the pipe. Excessive water coming form pipe is also a head gasket symptom. A compression test or cylinder leakdown test or a radiator hydrocarbon test will tell you if gasket has failed.
