2008 Saturn vue replaced starter, still won't start.what could be the problems

Could be lots of things. Do you have signal going to the starter. Does the starter make noise. Do you have 12 volts at the battery. Is the alternator working. Do you have signal at the spark plugs.

2005 Saturn vue wants to fire but won't. Battery reads 12.2.volts prior to starting and drops to 9 volts when trying to start. replaced cap and it started on first try. it had a rough idle before...

Unfortunately the answers you have given for replacing a cap is too vague. Is it a gas cap, radiator cap, air conditioning service port cap.... Look the battery needs charged that is why the battery drops to 9 volts, a good charged battery should drop to 10 volts. Check your battery terminals or cables for corrosion. Do a voltage drop tests on both positive and ground cables. As far as not starting any more...do you mean not cranking as in no starter eengagement or cranking but not running? If it is not running listen to hear in the first 10 seconds to the fuel pump relay if it engages or listen for fuel pump...is the car getting spark?

Blower motor slows down when i accelerate

I have a thought you may try testing your battery voltage with the car turned off .It should read 12 volts or higher if not charge battery than check again if battery is lower than 12 volts after charging replace battery. If 12 volts or higher start engine check voltage on battery again it should be 13 volts to 14.5 volts not higher if voltage readings are lower than 13 volts or higher than 14.5 volts replace alternator.

Alternator lights comes when you first start engine and goes off after a couple of minutes running. Is it the alternator or some other problem?

some of the alternators have internal regulators that are controlled by the engine computer. Call your dealer and ask him if it is.

general rule of thumb - you should have 12 1/2 volts at battery with engine off. It should jump to 14 volts with engine running and alternator putting out charging current.

Also, try reving engine to 25000 rpms and see if the light goes out immediately.

Battery light came on my 2004 saturn vue. We replaced the battery because it is six years old. light is still on and no air conditioning

WHEN THE BATTERY LITE COMES ON THE DASH IT IS TELLING YOU THE VOLTAGE FROM THE ALTERNATOR IS WORKING, TO CHECK THE ALTERNATOR WITH A VOLT METER ON DC WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING YOU SHOULD GET A READING OF 13.5 TO 14.5 VOLT WHEN YOU TEST THE BATTERY TERMINALS IF THE VOLTAGE IS LOWER THEN 13.5 VO0LTS YOU ALTERNATOR IS BAD

Power windows wont open on 2005 Saturn Vue

This is probably the first thing you checked, but the window lock button isn't depressed is it? Assuming it's not locked.. have you checked wiring at the master switch? I don't have a wiring diagram handy but there should be two thick wires, one should have 12v with the key on, and the other should have a constant ground. If either is missing look further into the wiring, possibly a broken wire in the door jam, corroded connection somewhere else etc. If you have good power and a good ground the next place to look is the master switch. If you can figure out which wires coincide with which window switch, back-probe the wires with a digital multimeter. While operating the switch monitor the voltage, you should have -12 or +12 volts, depending on which way you have the leads hooked up. If the switch has power and a ground but isn't outputting the correct power and ground then the switch is bad and needs to be replaced.

Not Idleing right

First off, connect something to the cigaret lighter that has 12 volts, and make sure the lighter plug in socket is working, then remove the battery cables and clean the cable ends real good, like shiny clean, and the battery post.It sounds like the alternator is having a hard time charging the battery, and the ignition system requires a lot of volts, and amps just to run, when turning the fan on,the engine revs up,this tells me it is possibly causing the alternator to put out more volts.

I have a 2003 saturn vue v6, the engine cuts off as soon as i turn on the headlight or the heater, i just replaced the battery.

Sound like a bad alternator, if you had a battery light on it's bad. Start engine with an voltmeter check voltage at battery if you have less then 12.8 volts bad alternator, should have 13.5 - 14.5 volt's.Hope this was helpful.

2002 VUE will not start.

what is "lots of power"? battery should have a reading of over 12 volts not running, 12.6 is perfect. if it's under 10 volts depending on
how much current the starter draws it may not crank. don't be fooled by the presence of dash lights, radio etc. the starter needs a lot of power to turn the motor. usually I don't see too many weak starters that can't crank the engine. most of the time they have an internal failure and just don't crank.
