Volume button problems

Usually this problem will occur when the battery has been disconnected. Have you tried your reset code, which originally should have been located just inside the owner's manual. Make sure you read the instructions, please you only get a couple of tries at a time.

If your radio is like mine, an er-1 display usually indicates that the radio is just too cold. I live in a cold climate, and mine would do that almost every day during the winter. If it's cold where you live, try letting the temperature in the car warm up. If that doesn't help, I would call the manufacturer to find out what it could be. It's also sometimes listed in the manual.

Humm, does it give you an error also... like "E01" for example? well actually it doesn't matter because if the radio works fine with volume, it's going to be in the audio unit. Acura's with this particular radio unit has many, many CD player problems. you can have it repaired at a great expense or just replace it with a nice aftermarket radio instead. It's up to you...but it's going to be in the audio unit its self.

You can disconnect the battery, reconnect it and use your radio code to get it working again. This worked for it...it's like I 'rebooted' the cd player.

To release cartridge try this
PRESS AND HOLD EJECT BUTTON
Insert credit card or similar under cartridge,push fully in and move left/right and right/left untill it ejects
This will locate microswitch
