Morning how do you replace the headlight unit on a CRV? do i have to remove the bumper?
the headlight has misted up and the honda garage want to charge me over £150 to drill two holes in the bottom!!! sure i can manage that if i can get it out!!
thanks in advance for your help!
:-)
Hi drilling holes in it is going to make things worse for rainy days so you will need to remove the bumber bar skin only theres a few clips and screws to undo for you head light removal
You can do it alone, just remove the bumper, there should be a bolt and nut there and somewhere near the fender. The lamp will be free then.

When you raise the hood, look for a Phillips screw that holds the parking lamp in. if it is there remove screw and pull parking lamp toward front of vehicle. If headlamp and side lamp are 1 piece, there should be 2 number 10 mm headed bolts that are vertical, that hold the assembly in. The side lamp will have a stud that holds the light to the fender. You may have to pry it loose. Reverse procedure to install.

easy cheesy! Ive changed mine twice. The headlights are small bulbs. Make sure you get the right one (hi-beam vs low-beam). Unplug connector at back of bulb / headlamp unit, remove rubber weather seal (pops right ot). The bulb is held in with a small wire clip that is hard to get back on but can be done. Its spring loaded. Drop wire clip, turn bulb assya 1/4 turn, and it comes right out. Remove bulb from holder and replace. Reverse steps and VOILA!

add some driving lights or re aim your high beams lower so you can use them all the time.

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly,
behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator
support.
You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam
(separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and
lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal
adjustment screws as well
Park
your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height
from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams
and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same
bulb, only do it for the lows)
For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then
aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall.
If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.
For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.
