Hi all, i have an Audi A6 1.9TDI avant auto 2003, i changed the alternator 2 days ago, driving along quite happily when both the indicators and the hazard light came on constantly, stopped the car got out looked at all six indicators where on constantly, switched her off, ignition on indicators and hazard didn't work, took the 20amp fuse out that powers, central locking system and the indicators and hazards work but does not central lock, don't know whether its relevent but the rear luggage light does not work either. Thank you in advance if you are able to find what the problem might be
If all else fails you may need to change the central lock system control module. You need to supply dealer with Vin #

should be in your owners manual if you have one. or there should be an options menu through the switch in the instrumnet cluster or through the I-drive if you have one

try this,with the key,unlock/hold key over for 30 secs (windows will go down) .then lock/hold key over for 30 secs.(windows will go up,then lock the car with the remote,you have just reset the autoclose facility inside the computer.may help!!

hi jamie,to reset the system,unlock the door/hold key over(windows will go down),then lock/hold key over(windows will go up/sunroof will close)then press unlock button on remote for 30 secs,RESET DONE.(if this dont work renew the battery in remote/reset again).geoff.

Either 1 of 2 things. Relay inside hazard switch goes bad often. If that is not it, then usually you would end up replacing the actual turnsignal column switch. But a new Hazard switch should do it.

You really need a dealer to reset the anti theft and key recognition.There are very few independent shop who can successfully do this .
It does sound like you also might have drivers door micro switch fault...very common as the vehicle gets older . Have the shop can for faults in the body module. It will store a code if the door micro switch is not working.
