I have a Santro Xing XG 6 years old. In the morning it normally starts but occasionally fails to start once it is switched off. I have shown it to Hundai workshops but the problem could not be solved. They replaced the fuel pump but the problem was not solved.
Then I got an indicator LED light put across the fuel pump. What I found that the LED does not glow whenever the car refuses to start. This means that the fuel pump is not getting the 12 volt supply. In fact before cranking the engine, I look at the LED. If it glows, then only I crank and the car starts. If the LED does not glow, car will not start even though the engine cranks. The battery is new.
I went back to Hyundai workshop with this information. They changed the relay fixed under the dash board on the left side inside the passenger compartment. But the problem was not solved, since it was intermittent and did not occur all the time.
I request support from all the experts. all we need is the electrical diagram to trace the supply going to the fuel pump.
When the car does not start, I switch on & off the security system many times. After many tires, the car starts. The security system is Autocop Cobra and came as a genuine accessories originally with the car.
