Got a voltmeter,
make sure the ground wire is 0volts , key on, radio on.
then make sure all 12vdc power wires, on radio have 12vdc.
some have 3.lines. (and a 12v out to antenna motor (skip that)
radio power, memory, and dial lamp.
the radio power must be hot. or radio will be DEAD.

it's that simple , any DMM even the dirt cheap one at walfart does this.
the meter will never lie to you, and can also check your bad fuses.
0 ohms good'
infinity ohms bad fuse.
easy huh?

I changed out the battery after a I side rolled my 2008 dodge ram 1500, the factory cd-radio dont work anymore,Ive checked the fuse, its good,is there an inline fuse I cant see Shoulde I just buy another...

With a test light you might want to check the power cable of the radio cd, also check the ground cable for bad or loose cables and check the battery for any loose cable, if problem remains then you might want to buy a new radio cd good luck!!!

Skoda fabia 04 plate ive replaced my aftermarket stereo with the orignal skoda one Everytime i turn it off it wants the code again

Memory is not powered. Check fuses for radio if had is was cut for the last radio check wiring again. If wiring is all complete test at connector for power at the harnes. You should have at least two or three sources of power at harness one for memory one to run the radio and one for the back lighting. You may have more depending on how many options are included.

Dome light does not come on fuses good

first test the bulb. Use a multimeter to test the bulb. http://youtu.be/f7ltMwaKx2I
If that checks out ok, then take the dome assembly off and check for power at the wiring harness while the doors are open and or the switch is on located on the dash. If you do not get power it means it can be the switch in the dash or a faulty component that causes an open door to turn them on.

No power stereo

sometimes there is a fuse on the back of the radio as well... and if its good, check all your fuses in your box. Check for poor installation of radio, such as black tape instead of wire connecters etc.

Radio stopped working

Check to make sure your Volume is turned off. you did not say if the POWER is not there.

Check to see if you burned out a fuse

Test the Radio with applying power, if you apply power and it still does not work, then you are going to install a new aftermarket Radio and be grateful for it later.

Some Radio's have a FUSE inside, you could have also an Inline Fuse.. Check the Power at the Fusebox FIRST... then work your way to the Radio.

It could be a 1 minute fix

My after market radio does not want to turn on . all the power and ground wires are installed correct . wires are spliced together tho. ive also changed the fuse labeled " radio"

Do you know that you have power and ground. Check with a volt meter or test light across the two wires that are your power and ground. You should also have a memory wire that is usually yellow, but this should not keep the radio from coming on.

My aftermarket radio will not turn on

I assume you didn't install the radio yourself then? Some installers put a inline fuse in. This would be located behind the radio. Some radios even have a fuse built into themselves, also on back side of radio. If those two solutions don't help ya, check the other fuses. Maybe the wiring for the radio was hooked into a different system other then the radio.
