I'm getting a p0205 code

I have a 2003 caravan with the 3.3 l flexfuel engine .i have replace the #5 injector and the complete fuel injector harness. still getting the p0205 on my obd2. used a node lite and it flashes as the manual says.ck'd the asd relay and it's good to go.i have also replaced the map sensor, all the plugs, wires and the coil, also changed the ait sensor. it starts fine but misses when you give it gas. i pulled the connector off of #5 while it was running and it really misses then. pugged it back and the engined speed ip , but still has miss. cleared code and as soon as you start it,the p0205 code pops right back up. i anve checked the main engine harness to the pcm as best i can, it seems to be okay. i really could use some help on this, this is my wife's van. thanks jv

Have a look at this thread. It may help you. It has some diagrams posted so maybe you should recheck the harness.

Your throttle position sensor should be located on the throttle body opposite of where the throttle cable hooks on too. Look for a small black box on the other side with wires leading into a connector. get your codes read and re post them it could be a simple fix.

SOURCE: 98Eclipse 2.0 nonTurbo 5speed 180,000 miles ,code PO301

The po301 is a misfire code. The backfire can be caused by a excessive amount of fuel, bad valve timing etc.
My guess is you have damage to an exhaust valve that may have occurred when you had the timing belt problem.A compression test will indicate if you have a leaking exhaust valve. The reason for the backfire is the exhaust valve is still partially open when the spark plug fires.

sounds like you have a dead ignition coil very common problem. to check the ignition coil and fuel injector harness without a scan tool you can use a noid light. it is a 12volt light bulb that connects to the harness side and flashes indicating that the computer is firing the injector and or coil. there is no specifications to check the ignition coils the best way is with a scan tool see witch cylinders have the most counts in the misfire history your local dealer may also be able to perform a cylinder balance test to find the dead hole. unfoutunatly you have to remove the doghouse to access the rear coils and fuel injectors.

Ok the melt down on the wire harness may have fried other components along the way.... I would even suspect the BCM being toast at this point.... better have someone run a real good scan on it and give you a print out of the possible causes before you even attemnpt any further investigations of component guess work...this is not something that is easuily rectified.
if you have a tech in the area that is very good electrically he may be the savior you will be realying upon.
Hope this helps.

This 1999 dodge 1500 5.9l will start and run fine till about 1500 RPM and then misfires and pings severely. [ CHRYSLER ] Record1 -> 1998~2003 -> PCM -> ECU Information Module of year: ...

Hello.. looks like you are getting good fuel delivery. Is the fuel curve mixture on the scanner in specs? How is the timing, the timing chains on these engines will stretch and throw the timing off causing a ping and missfire -- a weak valve spring is something to consider. Also, the PCM may be faulty. I hope this helps.

Missing when warmed up

ok,so theres no warr. on the repair you had done, your p0205 code is a problem with injector on cyl.5,could be inj.itself or elec.circuit, and thats your main problem, you can take a chance change inj.or bring it to a good mech.,who will hook up a special diag.scan tool to cars comp.and take readings while engines running to pin point problem exactly!thats up to you.
