Try taking plugs out and crank over, will turnover easy and should prime fuel line backup. Stay safe.

Try looking to see if the fuel-shutoff is working, open only one fitting instead of two injectors. Check the glow-plugs or intake heater if applicable. You can put an in-line electric fuel-pump in place. This can help you find out if there is a hidden fuel-leak, system loosing its prime, or bad lift-pump. If this still doesn't help then you may want to dig deeper and see if the shaft broke on the injection pump. Remember to mark the pump so you put it back exactly where it was. Rule of thumb is to set the timing to TDC on cylinder #1. Mark the gears with ink or white-out. and the injection pump case too. Let me know how its going.

SOURCE: 1985 corvette cranks but won't

Check to see if you have spark, if you do, and still it does not start, then you may think that fuel is not getting to it. At this point, use some starting fluid and spray it at the throttle opening. That should start it for a few seconds and give you the answer.

SOURCE: 2002 Ford Explorer ran out of gas put gas in and won't restart. replaced fuel pump and fuel filter still won't start. Cranks but won't start

Most Fords have a fuel reset button. When you ran out of gas you tripped the circuit. Most of the time the button will be on the passenger side by the kick panel. The exact location should be in your owners manual or your local library or auto parts store will have a copy of one for your specific vehicle.

SOURCE: car cranks but doesn't start changed fuel pump, changed fuel filter, no security system. fuel injectors and pump work and have new plugs

Hello
The engine and transmission in this cars drivetrain is fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Powertrain Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s)

SOURCE: van idles fine but when going the the road giving it gas it acts as if it isn't getting the proper gas ... it back fires....repleaced fuel filter and pump, crank and cam sensior

sounds like the timing is off. check the firing order to be sure your plug wires are on the correct positions on the coil packs. if that checks out, possibly a timing chain may need replaced. i hope this helps

My Chevy venture 2002 van doesn't start. Good

You replace parts as part of your preventative
maintenance program, not to solve a problem
When working on a problem only component testing
will find the issues
You need to check for fuel pressure at the motor with a gauge
You check spark with a test plug you buy,not ground a plug
or wire on the vehicle
You can check for compression or cylinder leak down
to test some mechanical issues
I would assume ALL Fuse & links have been checked,as
well as battery voltage 12.6 v or more & cables etc
The ignition switch could be bad, turns starter but not all
the internal contacts are good

I have a 2000 Mercury Villager Mini Van Sport. When I am in park I can rev the engine with no problens, when I put it in gear & push on the gas it spits & sputters & can't hardly get any...

have the fuel pressure checked if it is ok then you most likely have a bad cam or crank sensor.. is the check engine light on? that will help to pinpoint the issue. if no check engine light then most likely its a fuel pump.

My 2002 chevy 1500 van , 4.3 liter v6, will not fire. ran great, no signs of trouble leding up to now. Cranks, cranks, & cranks but no sputter, fire, anything

I would check and be sure I had fire to the plugs and fuel to the throttle body. I read what you wrote about the fuel pump but then on the end of the description where you put gas in the van the pump might not be working. If so you could have a bad wire to the fuel pump or a plugged fuel filter. Once you verify those items I would pull the 02 sensor ahead of the catalytic converter in the exhaust and make sure the cat or muffler is not plugged. If they are it will put back pressure on the engine and not allow fuel into the cyl. to fire.

My Ford E150 van, when almost floored, doesn't catch gas to the engine. Then I let up, and the van slows down 5 or 10 mph the engine works fine. What could this be?

clogged fuel filter, or it may be that the fuel pump is going bad. change filter, and while you have the line off, have a bottle ready, and put it over the line to catch the fuel. have someone turn on the key, but don't crank it, and see if you have fuel coming into the bottle. if so, then you may just have a bad fuel filter.
