Want to see where all wire plugs plug in

Check the timing

there are usually a cover plate on top of the rocker boxes when these are removed the plugs are there if not follow the spark plug leads and see where they go

It's probably built for other vehicles or other options on the vehicle, my truck also has this on many parts, it drove me nuts at one point, I asked a mechanic and he told me they are universal for some similar vehicles and have different plugs for different options and applications. No need to worry about it.

PULL EACH GLOW PLUG OUT TAKE A PAIR OF JUMPER CABLES TO IT CLIP RED ON THE PART WERE THE WIRE HOOKS UP THEN GROUND TO THE SIDE IF LIGHTS UP GOOD IF NOT BAD (BECAREFUL ITS HOT) IF ALL IS OK YOU HAVE A BAD RELAY

Here is a wiring diagram from distributor cap to spark plugs. the firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. I hope this helps you.

You either have a bad spark plug wire or coil pack. The light gray color on plug is normal.

He left something un-pluged or not plugged in all the way. Check any and everything he unplugged.

My first thought for a solution of your problem is plug wires. You have replaced some common problem areas for this situation but the plug wires are the most susceptible for causing a miss after engine is warmed up. Try replacing the spark plug wires and let me know what happens.

I believe that that vehicle has a glow plug relay. Check your wiring schematic and verify.

I kept reading about glow plugs and found some useful info like the power train control module powers the GPR and the GPL separately and that the PCM has to reprogram itself after the batteries are unhooked for more than five minutes and when replacing broken parts. I then applied common sense to that and that assured me that my wires were right and not wrong because I should have marked them when I unhooked them but got side tracked. So I think everything is fine with that but still have to go and try and start it up. Thanks, though because so far this site has been the most helpful to me as I am repairing vehichles for the first time.
