SOURCE: Rear suspension of 1994 Grand Prix bad.

i have owned two 1994 grand prix's and both developed the same problem you are refering to.
i have to agree with the last solution, if the rear is sitting lower, it's time to look at your rear struts. BUT... the GM used a fibreglass monoleaf transverse spring in the rear and the fibre glass spring is suppose to sit on a nylon cushion on both knucles. on both of my vehicles i had the nylon cushion fall or get knocked out. the parts cost about $20.00cdn and can easily be installed without removong the spring. In both cases it solved the sound of metal on metal rubing sound. I also changed the rear struts soon after i replaced the cushions because i noticed they were worn.

hope it helps cheers!

it sounds to me that the cables have broken. it requires installing new regulators. pretty easy once you get the door panels off. follow the bolts. the window is bolted through sashes to the regulator

SOURCE: security light flashing while driving 2001 grand prix

The TDM, that is the brain of the security system (VATS/PassKey), is having problems, it's typical on those cars and it will gradually prevent the car to start anymore. You can find a great write-up here: http://newrockies.ca , this has been the only thing that saved my Park Avenue.

2011 kia optima sunroof won't close

I found the web reference below at a different fix-it site ... for your exact year & model Kia
So if the phonebook method does not work you might try this:

"It's reopening because of obstacle detection. When sunroof motor current draw goes high the module will reverse the motor because it thinks it has hit something.
The issue may be calibration, the motor, a damaged guide, foreign debris preventing proper movement, or it could be the module itself. Depending on what the issue is you may or may not be able to get it closed until the problem is repaired.
First disconnect the battery to clear the module's memory. Once the battery is reconnected turn the key on, press and hold the sunroof open button. Continue holding the button for ten seconds after it is full open.
Then press and hold the close button and see if it will go full closed. If it does close continue to hold the button again for ten seconds.
If this doesn't work then the problem is going to need to be repaired for it to close."

My sunroof will not close. I can hear the noise

It sounds like the switch has gone bad or that there is something wrong with the track. If you look on the inside of the sun roof you should be able to see four screws. These screws hold the sunroof in place and to the track. Take those screws out and then the glass. If you look down where the track is when the glass is out and push the button to open and close you should be able to see the track move. If you cant see it move when it is supposed to open pull the switch and see if you are getting power to the open and close side of the switch.

My sunroof won't close, is it the fuse? If so,

If the sunroof only opens but does not close the problem is the relay or the motor itself, try replacing the relay of this does not work, try replacing the roof motor.

Volvo V7 '01 sunroof will not stop in closed position

I think I know the answer....your gear has slipped on the cable a few teeth. Set the roof to the desired closed position, flush with your roof. Then open the panel above the mirror by first prying off the switch plate and removing the two 10mm bolts holding the mirror. Remove the sunroof motor gear, or rather just lower it out so it is disengaged with the cables. Now connect the switch and hit the auto open button as if you wanted to open the roof with single flick of the switch. Now hit the auto close button (same button of course, but the single touch method). The motor will advance and stop to where it thinks the roof should be, closed, which it is. Reassemble the gear into the slot, test it if all good, replace the mirror and panel.
Good luck.
Manfred.

97 Grand Prix sunroof off track

My 97 Grand Prix sunroof tracks are offset. My driver side track is in the closed position, and the passenger side track is in a half open position. When the problem happened I was closing the roof and heard a hard clicking. It stopped working from that moment on. The tracks werent offset as much as they are now before I took the glass off. When I removed the glass, the passenger side track sprung back about 6 inches. The motor works, but the tracks only move about a half inch forward and backwards. Its cable operated and my guess is that one side jumped the track or a gear or something. Anybody help?

Leak!

There should be a rubber lining around the sunroof. That might need to be replaced, if not pull it almost completly off (dont pull it off all the way because its not fun to realign). Go to Lowes and pick up some clear sefl squeeze bathroom caulk and inject it inside the rubber fold. Then reapply. This actually worked on my buddies sunroof.
