XL7 has a clicking scraping noise on drivers side in reverse only. Have checked brakes and they look ok. When I put on jacks with the hub off and turn by hand I can still hear the clicking grinding

Where is the noise? Front or back? At the brake or differential? Usually grinding and clicking is the rear brake drums. Brake shoes/hardware. Year, make, and model?

2000 dodge intrepid clicking noise when apply brakes

It is probable that one or more sets of brake pads are worn down. The clicking noise is the wear indicators letting you know.

The knocking sound is possibly worn rear suspension bushes at some point, but I don't know your model well enough to say where.

There is a breaking noise , feels like its not catching and skidding..

If you are talking about brakes, and the noise is a clicking sound, then you have drum brakes on the rear of your car. The springs in them break sometimes and causes a clicking noise. If it is a rubbing noise and you can feel a vibration in the steering wheel when you hit the brakes, it is a front rotor that is warped. If you haven't had a brake job in a couple of years, then your due.

The problem is Bent brake disk's, Replace the brake disks to solve the problem.
Jack up the car, Take wheel off using a 17MM socket then remove the two bolts on rear of calliper then the two bolts on the calliper frame, Move them out of the way then Remove the small clip in one of the wheel nuts you will see it and remove the disk and replace, Do the same for other side and noise will have stopped.
