My cigar lighter wont work. Also the driver side window needs a motor. I think. It may be the switch ofcourse, how can I check to find the answer to the problems?

I beleve all vehicles would have a blower motor resistor. Go to your parts place and ask them for a price on the blower motor resistor and ask for a print out location, they will give you one. Resistor is normally located around the motor.
trhe ticking noise is the relays, however the most likely cause of this fault is the drivers door wiring, very common Peuegot fault with opening and closing the door the wires within the black plastic sleave start to wear and then contact each other, do you electric windows work? central locking? had any issues with these at all? is there anything electrical that sometimes works and sometimes does not?

The alarm is set when you either lock the car with the door locks or using the key and ofcourse the fob, there is usually a red light that comes on when the alarm is set, somewhere on teh dash
Hi! If the motor does click but wont respond, its gotta be the motor itself thats faulty. It may have been worn due to old age and will need replacement. Hope this helps and have a good one!
the backup lights and cigar lighter are located in under hood fuse box on drivers side of vehicle. both are mini fuses.the fuses have a number diagram to find them. backup lights are #42 and cigar lighter is #34
brown is usually the earth, but easy way to test it is, get a 12v bulb, ( brake light, tail light, indicator,)......hold the brown wire on the side of the bulb, and touch the bottom of the bulb ( where the large bit of grey solder is ), and if it lights, then the brown is the earth...if not, try the wires the other way round, ...the bottom of the bulb is where the live feed would touch, so, that lets you know what is live....
This seems very very common... I managed to frig one recently by joining two wires at the switch end together.. Without looking I can't tell you which, but it was simple logic to work it out.. Desparation made me try, but it took 10 mins. From (my sometimes lame) memory I think one of the grounds was missing, one of the pins will have no voltage on it relative to either ground or 12v, it'll be that one!
The car was wrote off about two weeks later, poor pug..
