Lower hole in the door jamb loosten allen screw until the cap comes off. Upper hole there is a #20 torx slightly down and inboard of the hole, you need a really long torx bit and pull the handle out slightly. It also helps to pull weatherstrip loose so you can see it.

there are 4 torx T-15 screws, one in the rear map pocket, one under the air bag logo plastic clip, one under the wood trim (pry the trim off carefully), and one holding the door handle assembly (also revealed when you remove the wood burl cover). Pick up a pry tool at autozone, about 5 bucks to pry the clips out without breaking

Removing rear interior panals

Remove one Phillips screw from leading edge of door panel (near latch). Remove small cap behind the door handle, inside another Phillips screw - remove screw and then the cup behind the handle. Look down in arm rest and there is another Phillips screw. Last screw is behind the approximately 1 1/2 inch plug on front upper corner of panel. At this point, gently pry around lower edge and sides - there are either five or six clips pressed into the door frame. Once all are disengaged, gently swing the bottom of the panel out and lift off the top edge of door next to window opening. Once panel is off door, gently remove the control plug from the door lock/window control on the rear of panel. Install in reverse order
hope this helps

Rear door handle doesn't open the door from the inside

Sounds like the linkage has come off the handle inside the door. The door panel will need to be removed to gain access to the linkage. Be careful when removing the panel! Some are held on by plastic snap clips, others by screws (some hidden some not), Also the linkage may be retained by a small plastic clip that holds it to the handle itself. If this is broken you can usually find a replacement at a auto parts store in the HELP section or by showing and asking a sales person there.

I have a 1993 Ford Tempo and am having problems removing the motor from the door. I already have the door panel removed and the power disconnected from the motor.

remove the door panel and check to make sure the linkage to the lock assembly is still attached. I can't give an estimate because I don't know what is wrong at this point

are the locks manual or electric?i have seen most electric locks freeze up because of rust/.corrosion.the rubber accordian seal fails and moisture does it's job.there is no lubrication on the mechanism.it's basically a push pull magnet tube with a spiral grooved actuator rod.this is to assure no accidental vibration/jar induced movement.also means very difficult to budge when corroded.i have gotten a few to move by grabbing lock post with pliers and pulling hard.good luck!

Mazda 5 replacing external handle on sliding door

Your door should be held on with clips. Removing the panel is sometimes hard, just take a good WIDE flat head screwdriver, and whatever tool needed to remove the screws holding the panel on, and be careful. Check underneath the panel, by the inside handle, and the arm point for screws. Once removed, take your WIDE screw driver, and don't quite pry them off, more or less try to get it underneath and pull towards yourself. There is no real easy way, just try to be patient with it, and if you hit any binds, look for more screws, its just a matter of patience for sure.
