It drinks lot of gas too
SOURCE: running rich and blowing black smoke
Could be a number of different things.Fuel pressure relief valve not working,injector pulse too long,Is the air box lid securely fastened and air cleaner clean.Are there no leaks between the air box and throttle body(intake tube).Have you checked oxy sensor.air flow meter may be also possible.Try squeezing the flexible fuel hose enough to allow the engine to run and see if the engine reacts better if it does you have excessive fuel pressure.

I had an identical problem with my 88 Scottsdale. After a week of head scratching by my local dealer, and $1000. worth of shop diagnostic time, they found a bad distributor shaft. Apparently, there is some sort of star wheel on the end of the shaft which has lost magnetism. Replace the shaft.
SOURCE: white smoke from exhaust
Hello;
The white smoke is from coolant entering the combustion chamber(s). Coolant can enter through the water passages sealed bu the head gasket. You have probably blown a head gasket. You should check your coolant level. You may have acracked head if you continue to drive it and overheat. The temp gauge only reads when exposed to coolant, not air. Take out thhe spark plugs and look them over. A white glossy apperance will indicate water in the combustion chamber. You may need to surface the head once you have it removed so that it is flat. Hope this helps.
Thanks;

I put a new fuel pump, fuel filter, and a fuel pump relay and the fuel pump is still not coming on. I am not getting any fuel. Can you please tell me what it might be.
