I car light turned on off and on

use a test light and check the fuses or you can look in your owners manual if you have one and it will show the fuses and what they operate.

is the cooling fan turning on?is there any leaks?

Chances are that everything is not fine.
To turn off the light disconnect the battery for 3 minutes
re connect it the light should be off.
If it comes back on there is a problem.
You can go to Auto Zone and they will diagnose the
problem for free. The light has to be on for the problem to
be analyzed.

check the fluid level and flow. sometimes pump driveshafts break inside housing.
