Where is the A/C cutout switch located on 97 Buick

Long story short: I totaled my 97 Buick LeSabre on a deer, and in rebuilding it had to replace the A/C condenser. The work was done during winter, so I have waited until today to put a vacuum pump on the system and recharge it. The clutch will not kick in when the A/C is turned on (for charging), so we bypassed the wiring to run the compressor, but even with refrigerant in the system, the compressor still will not run via the car's electrical system. I am assuming there is something wrong with the cutout switch, but cannot verify this as I do not know where it is located. Am I on the right path, and where is this switch?
Thanks.

It has a low pressure sensor on the low side line. You put freon in first and when there is enough pressure the compressor will come on. Never straight wire it, you might cause more damage.

Low oil pressure, and light knocking noise from back half of motor. (after engine is warm)

If the pressure is low it will turn the light on. If you have a light and hear knocking it's a sign that a rod or main bearing has worn to the point that it's allowing oil to escape from the crank, thereby lowering pressure to all other components. There is no "fix" for that short of a bearing replacement,
Expensive, and most times not worthwhile as debris from the bearing gets into the oiling passages and causes more problems shortly after the repair. Best option is a scrapyard engine or total rebuild.

How do i stop my rods from knocking

There is no cure for that other than taking out the engine and tearing it down and replacing the rod bearings. There is probably too much clearance between the bearings and the crank journals do to worn bearings.

Transmission slipping on 97 buick lesabre

The clutch apply seals have hardened or rolled over. Only a transmission rebuild will fix. Try to get a used one to save some money.
