My 1998 Suzuki vitara was running perfect, never had a problem with it. degreased engine and pressure hosed it off (carefully). Started the car once it had dried enough and now it idles rough, shudders and stals. and the check engine light is on.
You have water in an electrical connection somewhere. You are going to have to take each one apart and make sure they are dry, use a hair dryer.
The water has gotten past the plug boot seal. Pull the plug tire off the plugs and use some compressed air to blow out and dry the plugs. Some times the water can really get deep so don't pull out the spark plugs.

Drop in to an Autozone, or Pep Boys, or similar big parts store & they will usually scan for codes free. This will hopefully eliminate all the guess work, or at least point everyone in right direction for better diagnosis. If not obvious from codes what the problem is, get back to us and we'll help you out.
Testimonial: "Thanks for the great suggestion . I'll have Autozone read the codes on Monday. Thanks again!"

i have a simialer problem but i was getting neat fuel out the exhaust as well . i removed the engine because id got a replacement then stripped the old one and as i thought it was a valve timing problem.looking at the engine from the front the cams on the left bank had jumped one tooth out of time so fuel was not being burnt and coming straight through the exhaust.strangely it didnt seem to have a big missfire and idling and smoke got worse when warm.

i think the problem is in the fuel line. i have encounter it too.. the best way is to replace all fuel filter. muzzo have 3 fuel filter. 2 located at the engine and the other one located at the fuel tank they called it as strainer. u can see the opening of the tank underneath the back seat of the car. also good suggestion clean the tank. duel dirt is the main cause of your problem cause muzzo have only a small tip that why only little dirt can cause plunging in engine. sory for bad English

E13: right bank O2 sensor, no data
F48: low refrigerant level in A/C system
Neither of these is likely to cause rough idle, but I would change the sensor.
If that cure it, great.
If not, make sure the vacuum hose on the fuel pressure regulator (at end of fuel rail) is tight at both ends and not cracked or leaking. Then pull the vacuum hose off the regulator and see if there is any fuel in the vacuum hose. If yes, replace regulator.
I also recommend cleaning up the intake side of engine with carb cleaner or equivalent: throttle body, Mass airflow sensor, EGR system, and PCV valve. Make sure EGR valve is operating.
If you have questions, please let me know.

Flashing CEL is an indication of a misfire. You would need a code scanner to find out which cylinder it is.
The code should be a P030n where n= 1 to 8 ( the cylinder number ). Could be a P0300, which is a misfire indication.
