Your alternator is bad you need a new one to check remove the red positive cable from the batterie while the car remains running and if the motor shuts off while the batterie cable is removed then you have a bad alternator and if it remains running while the red cable is off then your battery is bad try that and see where you end up

Did engin overall replaced lifter for oil and oil pump but still no oil goes up to valves please help

to carryout a few tests safely pull out the fuel pump fuse disconnect the coil or coils and remove the plugs so the engine can turn over easy and not start to run. Next when the pump draws oil from the sump it goes through the oil filter then through the block and to the head. So loosen the oil filter just one full turn then crank the engine to see if oil ooze out if it does then pump is good if not the start by the pump. Next fasten the filter and if the engine has a oil pressure switch in the head remove it and crank to see for oil if not then its a possibility when the head gasket was installed it was put down wrong or the wrong gasket thereby covering the oil feed hole from the block to the head

I have a 05 scion xb and While driving down the highway my battery light came on then my red water lights start flashing and my check engine light came on When I begin to attempt to pull over the car was...

it sounds like the main belt broke and in turn caused the alternator to stop charging the battery and the water pump to stop pumping water to your engine. IF this is the case and the car did get hot it is possible you blew a head gasket. MAKE SURE your bf or someone you trust goes with you to talk to the mechanic and verify they are telling you the truth. Mechanics try and prey on Women

My buicks battery has just died. When I jumped it it goes to turn over for a second with a click and then dies down, but all the lights come on. How do I know if its the starter alternator or battery

if the lights are bright and you hear a clicking and your heat blows good, the head lights are still real bright after trying to start a few time replace the starter (you can try to hit the starter with a hammer otr somthing heavy a few times and then try to start if it sounds better or starts replace the starter) if the battery goes dead try to jumpit if it starts then dies after a few min its the alt if it starts runs good and you let it run for about half hour shut it off and it wont restart rite away its the battery.

My 92 honda civic si check engine light sometimes goes on after driving it for a while and it usually goes on after high revving, i don't know if this has anything to do with it but there is a beeping...

no, the beeping sound has nothing to do with it, thats just telling you your key is in the ignition. this happened to me and turned out to be a blown head gasket. get a complete head set for about $200 and be sure to change ALL of the seals and gaskets, or else you will just blow your head gasket again.

Night driving head lights not turning on.

yes it could be a bulb. If you have any power going to the light then its not the fuse. the next place to look is the light switch. and the mounting bracket that the light switch plugs into. If its a newer car, then just the switch. So replace your bulb and see how it goes.

Electrical sytem? inconsistently shuts car down

These engines have a sensor known as the Crankshaft position sensor, they are most of the time the part that causes these problems, it is located on the front of the engine, it gets it's signal from the crank pulley/harmonic balancer, if it goes open when hot the engine dies, when the sensor cools back down the eng will restart.
