Car won't up shift or down shift at hot temperature

Just bought a automatic Honda civic 96 a few weeks ago,and its making me a headache.the car's shifting normally at cold to hot temperature it shifts perfectly no drug,no harsh shifting,no slippage evrything is fine.but when you turn off the engine at hot temperature to have some coffe or make some gas or anything and then re start the car and go for a drive again this is when the problem comes out the car won't up shift or down shift, nothing no kick down it is likely stock at 2nd gear.i check the shift solenoid it is working,I changed my ATF oil,I used the Honda genuine ATF oil DW1.but nothing happens. What could be the problem on this?lol need help, thanks

Your tranny shifts according to pressure the transmission control unit regulates the pressure to provide smooth shifts you need to take the car to a good tranny shop that has a scanner that can check the shift points

I have a 96 f 150, automic & shift lever very loose in all gears. very hard to find drive, neutral, reverse.

It sounds like a bad shift collar on the column or the shift tube inside the column. Somtimes the best cure is to pick up a used steering column at a salvage yard. The last one I bought cost about
$65.00. Hope this helps.

1992 honda civic stereo and clock don't work whats wrong?

Yeah, the ground. ALWAYS, make sure the ground is good. When that switch was cut out, the ground was disconnected also. That's why the stuff don't work and and the chronometer resets and is dim. ALWAYS check the ground before ANYTHING else is done.
