To remove the lead from the battery to the alternator while it is running is to invite a destroyed alternator . Varying voltages with engine RPM is indicative of a bad battery or problem alternator regulator . Have a load test done on the battery to check for cell problems and have the alternator bench tested to check the performance .

Intercooler tube leaking

could be a variety of things, is the check engine light on? possible the throttle sensor is bad, could also be a vacuum leak.

EGR valve must be stuck run engine and spray some intake cleaner into it while reving engine slightly so it doesn't stull usually helps

Take the car to an auto parts store that will download the code that tripped the check engine light. They typically do this for free. Then repost that info. Thanx

sensor fault but which one ?? or could be a fuel pressure problem.You will need the dealer to plug it in because engine management is now classed as security to prevent theft ?? so software is encrypted

My engine light is on in my 199 ford explorer and I was told it is the o2 sensor 1 and 2 what does this mean?

I have same problem with 2002 laguna. Before warning lights and revving at 2000rpm starts car feels jumpy. Have to stop, take card out of slot and back again to start without fault. Happens a few miles drive later again. Anyone got a solution?
