The box that holds the cabin filter - front trunk, passenger side base of the windshield is lined with foam insulation. It gets brittle over time and flakes off. Remove the cabin filter, turn the A/C on high to open the vent flap and use a vacuum crevice tool to gently vaccum out the loose bits of foam.

Sounds like the filter has never been changed and has disintegrated into the system

The heater is not blowing hot air. The blower motor is blowing. Air conditioner works. No hot air when I switch to heat!,,

What was your temp gauge reading on the vehicle when this occured?
It could be a small plastic blend door in the dash that is operated by a small motor that when you turn your switch to hot the door moves to allow the heat from your heater core to be blown through ducts into your cab. Sometimes these can be calibrated sometimes he plastic door brakes. BUT i would start by bringing the vehicle up to operating temp first and checking it then.

Need to remove air intake and air distributor to get at spark plugs on 2002 Tacoma 3RZ-FE engine. Specifically, the portion of the air intake that goes on top of the engine between spark plugs #3 and #4...

You need to completely remove all plastic air
intake ducting on all vehicles,to expose the throttle
body or ignition coils,plugs etc.

You have to be careful with the small plastic fittings
going to valve covers, vacuum lines ,etc

If you referring to removing the upper intake
manifold,as required on some engines,I'm
not familair with yours

You may need Torx Driver Bits, long ones for that
type of work or just metric sockets.

This is a forum, not a business, with hand outs of
every imaginable repair,like free instructions

Even factory service manuals, are near useless

You have to acquire the necessary skills by
doing your own thing, learn as you go or get a

Vibrating noise from the dash at higher speeds

I've experienced a rapid frequency vbibration that sounds like it comes from the front left dash. I isolated it as the small plastic molding on the outside of the windshield, just below the windshield. There is a small plastic strip like molding piece that ends near the end of the windshield. I used some double sided foam tape sandwiched between the bottom of the molding and the plastic piece belwo it and that solved the problem. I have had to replace the tape every year or so
