start with the basics... check the bulbs... then the fuses.... after that use a multimeter to see if power is going to the lights that are not working.... bad grounds will cause the lights to be dim or not work.

SOURCE: Seat Heater won't work

I have found that is the grid fails the light will not light, it is not just a switch, it also has a timer circuit in it, when the grid burns out it will in most cases short out, this destroys the switch module, so both will have to be replaced to correct your problem. I base this diagnosis on 30 years of new car dealer work as a technician.

SOURCE: removal of heater control switch on rh side of dashboard.

the panel just pops out it has clips holding it in, you might want to pull the side panel off just in case there is a 7mm screw holding it in but that should only be for the radio removal, i have a question for you, how did you replace that actuator and did that solve your problem, my car does the same thing and i already replaced the switch, and te climate control panel, thanks.

SOURCE: the climate control heater system is giving me

You may have two problems. The temp. sensor for the outside air may be going bad and you will find it at the lower part of the ac condensor behind grille and bumper. You need to replace one of the blend door actuator motors there are three of them.

Speedometer keeps stopping

alot of problems stem from a worn out ignition tumbler, if you turn your key on is there play to wiggle it forward and back a little? its the culprit for so many issues believe it or not, Ive had my 850 turbo wagon for 15 years and know her like a book. mine does this and after i restart it its fine. my odometer stopped working and Its an easy but timely fix so i just left it as the service light comes on for service at the right mileage. anyway, if tumbler is good then your cable is going bad.

if it is slippery and stinky, your heater core is leaking. otherwise you have a leak around your windshield and rainwater is coming in and not drying out as it is under the mat. very hard to track down, get some clear aquarium sealer and get to work.

ABS, A/c clutch, speedometer, odometer quit at the same time

Its your ABS system. There is a faulty switch/sensor on the master cylinder. It leaks brake fluid into the wires connected to it and causes the circuit to short, resulting in a blown fuse that controls the AC, odometer, speedometer, cruise control and ABS light to stay on. This can even cause a fire in the vehicle. A fire can occur even when the vehicle is turned off. To correct the problem go to this link - http://www.fordwindstarrecall.info/
