Break lights fuses are fine and, break switch is also fine. What could be the problem. the man at the auto part store said it might be the turn signal switch. He was not sure if the break light runs through the turn signal.
SOURCE: my break lights dont work!!
Make sure that your hazard switch is all the way OFF I have seen this problem. But here power comes in the brake light switch from the fuse, when you press on the brake it closes and powers the other wire that goes up into the steering column into the turn signal switch and then out to the brake lights I can send you a wiring diagram if you send me your email to [email protected]
SOURCE: right read blinker/break light dont work, turn signal blinks rapidly
It's the bulb. There are two filliments in the bulb. One is for when you turn your lights on and the other is for breaking and blinker flashing. When the break filliment goes bad it causes the blinker to flash very rapidly. 100% the bulb. Change it and all will be good again. P.S. if it were a fuse none of the break lights or blinkers would work.
SOURCE: dash and running lights not working
The dash and insrument illumination lights are both controlled off the same circuit within the headlamp switch. You can try finding a happy spot for the lights by very slowly pulling out the switch after the running light position and turning the knob back and forth, but, this is purely temporary. You need a new switch and it's very easy to change. If you disconnect the battery positive cable. Pull the switch all the way out to the headlamp position. After doing this reach around the back of the switch on each side and you'll find a small button that you can push in. This button allows You to remove the knob/shaft combination. Then just take out the 6-8 screws that hold the cluster face plate(or it may just pry off) and unscrew the collar that secures the headlamp switch to the dashframe.. The harness comes of in one piece and that's it. Good Luck Dana
SOURCE: the turn signals and break lights are not working
check all grounding areas make sure they are without rust.
SOURCE: no running lights but I
now for the hard part, with a voltmeter, start at the fuse and check voltage to the switch then to the tailight sockets. time consuming but the only way
