My Nissan Serena 2004 model automatic is having problems with the crank shaft sensor. I have just put a new one, the car worked 4 a day, now it can't start, just cranking. what could be the problem?

Poss erratic signal to the crank sensor, oil leak on the sensor itself is a popular one for Nissan. Make sure u have a good electrical connection, water & oil free. Good luck

2001 Accent starter doesn't crank when engine hot. New battery, new starter. I have to wait 10-15 min and there is no problem???

The problem is usually the crank sensor that is faulty. Run the vehicle till its hot, when the motor does not want to crank, remove sensor pore water on the sensor to cool down, refit sensor. If vehicle starts, purchase new crank sensor.

No voltage on crank sensor grand am 2001 2.4

The crank and cam sensors produce ac voltage that is sent to the computer. There are magnets or components on the crank and cam that the sensors "read".
The problem could be the harness between the sensors and the computer, or a mechanical problem like a timing chain or gear.

2000 v10 ford f350 wont start with out either

If the crank sensor circuit is malfunctioning, then that is your problem. The code does not mean that you must replace your crank sensor. (sometimes it means this, sometimes it does not) The code means that either the crank sensor CIRCUIT is out of range or the crank sensor cannot SYNCRONIZE with the cam sensor. There is a whole lot more to diagnosing a crank sensor circuit than simply replacing the crank sensor. Proper diagnostic procedures need to be followed to locate the exact cause of the problem.

Van runs good then stalls out. then hard to start. If i let it sit for 5 minutes it starts again no problem. Then stalls again shortly there after.

This sounds like a failing camshaft position sensor and weak crank shaft sensor .When crank shaft sensor gets weak it will stop functioning. When crank shaft sensor stops working then ECM will not control fuel system and the fuel will stop flowing. And this can cause the problem. When crank shaft sensor gets heated it will stop working, but when the car shuts off, the sensor gets cold and works for few minutes and sensor again gets hot and it stalls. ---------- Get the crank shaft sensor tested on your Chevrolet venture. ---------- There are many other possibilities for this stalling problem, but crank shaft problem is indicating in your case. My service engine soon light is on and it reads that the engine speed signal circuit is the problem, what should I do!

This is normally caused by the Crank Sensor. The Engine Speed signal is given by the Crank sensor, not the vehicle speed sensor. Most people get confused and replace the speed sensor instead.

So to resolve your problem you will need to replace the crank sensor. The engine speed sensor code is always related to the crank sensor failure.

Thanks Jay!
