SOURCE: 1996 mazda mx6 ls cranks but won't start

you may need to run a wire from a keyed ignition source that has power while cranking and running to the fuel pump relay and bypass the pcm to test wether it will run, if it runs put a more permanent wire in place.Not too sure what tests youve done but it seems that fuel is what your focusing on so a quick test is too spray engine start up the intake tube to see if the engine trys to run if it does it eliminates a lot of other potential reasons for a no start condition.Also try squeezing the fuel return line to see if the added pressure will try to make engine run.Could be time to replace fuel pump etc anyway let me know how it goes good luck with it

You have a problem in the fuel pump relay circuit for sure then. I'm betting the relay, but it could be that dropping resistor.

That eliminates the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors. Have you checked the fuel injector itself for an open winding or stuck valve plunger? There should not be a steady 12 volts to the injector--if good injector, it would be spraying fuel steadily into the throttle body. But at least the engine should try to run if poorly. Take the injector out, dry it off with air, and intermittently apply 12 volts to one terminal while grounding the other. You should hear a click from inside every time you touch 12 volts. If not, replace it. If it does, it may be plugged with debris. Try blowing through it in reverse with compressed air.

1999 Mazda V 3000 does Awana start at all I used to turn the key 3 times and then it would start now nothing

I think if you check you will find you have no fuel pressure. Use a can of spray starring fluid and see if it starts and stall out, if so the fuel pump is defective most likely. The pump is located inside the fuel tank.

1991 plymouth stalled and oil light on

The oil pressure light can/will keep power from reaching the fuel pump. So you would need to check oil pressure first.
Then once the oil pressure light problem is resolved checking the fuel pressure might be next.

Cold start problem mazda 2001

Could be the fuel pump relay, or a faulty pump, or pressure regulator.
The fuel system is supposed to hold pressure after you turn the engine off. A faulty pump or pressure regulator could allow fuel to drain back into the tank overnight. You would need to crank the engine for several seconds to build pressure back up.
The relay could be faulty and not giving the fuel pump power until the oil pressure comes up.

Just trying to get the motor to turn over. and trying to locate the fuel filter and how to replace it

A fuel filter will not cause a no start, check the pressure and see if you have any. Spray starting fluid into the intake and see if it starts and stalls, that indicated no fuel pressure. Also run a MECS OBD1 computer control system fault code test, you will need a MECS (Mazda Electronic control system) system scanner to do that or a Ford Star tester with a MECS adapter kit. (Ford owned a controlling interest Mazda then and now) You may just have a failed fuel pump.

Wont idle or start without priming tbi

first check fuel pressure with a mechanical fuel gauge that attaches to fuel line schrader valve. around T.B.I. if no pressure with key on check fuel pump relay for correct operation, and also the oil pressure switch has the fuel circuit to it so possible oil pressure switch also. fuel pump has a check valve to keep fuel from going back to tank, so when u turn key on fuel pressure should go up within 1-2 seconds on gauge. if fuel pressure goes down quickly, possible bad fuel check valve, change fuel pump and fuel pump check valve (located right above fuel pump inside tank)

Car low on oil and motor wont start. It cranks over but wont start. No oil lights have come on on dash board so had no idea it was low on oil;

Some cars, not sure about yours had a switch on the fuel pump, if the oil was low, they wouldn't start. Get the oil back up the re and see what happens. The oil sending switch must be for pressure and not level, it will register 60 lbs pressure with only 1 qt of oil in there, try it, hope it helps.
