2003 Chevy tracker 2.0 in4 dohc valve cover gasket

With the rubber gasket , you shouldn't need to add any gasket sealant to hold it on. Make sure that the track for it on the valve cover and the surface it sits on, on top of the head are clean.

It is best to replace the grommets on that valve cover by putting them on the bolt first then into the valve cover. This model tends to have issue breaking/tearing the grommets. There should also be grommets for other things like the filler tube and breather tube.

As far as I have ever encountered, I know there is an order to put the bolts back in. I've never use a specific order myself. Most importantly in this model the bolts should be re-installed to 106 INCH pounds. Make sure the torque wrench is on INCH pounds not foot pounds.

How to change headlight bulb on 2009 smartcar fortwo

first you should what is your car bulb type, such as HID Xenon Light H4 bulb. And open you hood, there is a rubber grommet the size of a coaster thats where the bulb is located. unplug the plug (squeeze the side of the plug and it should slide right off)
remove the grommet. just pull if off away from the headlight.
the bulb is secured by a spring clip push the clip towards the front of the car and move it to one side to get it unhooked from the headlight housing.
pull the head light bulb out. replace with new head light bulb (MAKE SURE NOT TO TOUCH THE GLASS OF THE NEW BULB)

How do i get the fan off the water punp,on a ml320 2001 meredes benz

Here's the trick: use a long screwdriver between the shaft and a bolt or between 2 of the bolts to hold the fan while you loosen another bolt with a wrench. Don't remove any bolts until they are all loose. Keep using your screwdriver on other bolts to hold the fan until you have them all loose. Does this make sense?

How do you access the washer pump to change it on a 2003 a4 saloon

The pumps(windshield and headlights) are attached to the washer fluid reservoir. That is located behind the inner fender well on the drivers side I think(that's where it is on my 2000 S4). About 10 Torx screws for the inner well, two twist fasteners on the bottom to the lower air dam. Then a few 10mm bolts to remove the reservoir. The upper pump is for the headlight and the bottom is the windsheild. They just pop in/out through a rubber grommet. About $50 each. Keep antifreeze in the fluid or you will but they every year.

1999 Jimmy with Envoy package. Driver side low beam is burned out. Replacement from GM is $1200.00. Can I use an after market system? If so, how do I locate and remove existing HID ballast?

1999 GMC Envoy w/ same problem - we removed the bumper then had easy access to the ballast (two bolts on top and one on the bottom if I remember correctly). For the bumper, there are two bolts visible on top, then two a bit lower just inside. Remove the 4 bolts then you pull the bumper forward to unlatch and remove it. When you put the bumper back on, insert the lower bolts first - otherwise it\'s a pain to get them back in correctly. For a temp fix we removed the ignigtor/bulb and ballast, took the wires going into the ballast (regular bulb wires) and connected a 9006 bulb. We removed the retainer from the ignigtor to hold the new bulb into place, it took some adjusting to get it set in place but it worked nicely. We will be putting new/aftermarket headlight assemblies in soon, but this fix only cost $25; it was a quick solution that took about 2 hours.

Ford Windstar - Codes PO171 & PO174

Problem is most likely the gaskets and isolator bolts between upper and lower intake manifolds.
Look at the rubber grommets on the bolts that bolt the upper intake to the lower. If they rubber grommets are black then this is most likely the concern. They have a new style gasket and bolts for this and the ford part number are XF2Z-9H486-AA for the gaskets and 3F2Z-9S479-AA for bolts (1 pack of 8 bolts).
