I put a cd player in my 05 dodge magnum I have like three yellow wires to red wire an three black wires anyways the cd player will not go off when I cut the car off help me someone
Hi Steve, I'm glad to help! I'm assuming you installed the CD Player and now it stays on. Most CD Players have 2 power wires, sometimes only 1. If your only has one then you have your power wire connected to a wire on the vehicle that stays hot with the key in the off position. Here's what you do to find the wire you need. Take a test light and place it on a fuse in the fuse block, then turn the key off and if the test light turns off thats where you want to connect the power wire for the CD Player. Then when you turn the key off the CD Player will go off also. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Steve.
i had this problem to, do not hook the ground wire from truck to your radio. use the braided wire that hooked to your old factory radio by inserting a bolt into the braided wire and ground from your new radio.
then check fuses one more time and you are good to go.I didnt think this would work but it did..

purple = right front spkr +
blue/white = right rear spkr -
brown/blue = left rear spkr -
brown/yellow = left rear spkr +

Your best bet on that one is to go to a place that sells car audio systems or even some autoparts retailers have them, and get the proper adapter harness already made up. A few more dollars but, a whole lot less headaches.

My story Dealing with Dodge
I had a 1994 Dodge Ram. The Red Dodge Ram I had it malfunctioned and my brake became the throttle.
I had to put the truck in reverse then park. to stop, after it was out of control at 80 mph a hill slowed us down. Are you sure
its not electrical and the curse control is not giving you trouble?
Mine had multifunction switch was not working and the headlight switch burned up. I also found out that Audi had problem with the brake becoming the throttle
in the 1980s Daimler Chrysler and Audi were German made. I don't think
there is an easy answer. I hope you stay safe. Another man is having
strange trouble also. I'm sure there are many more people with trouble
with the vehicles. I wish Dodge would step up to the truth. and recall
their nightmares. I saw many of their 1996 Dodge trucks at their
dealers shop with all the electrical pulled out.
