Given what you have said & the metal shavings

I would pull it & rebuild it

Not worth diagnosing the PO741 TCC issue as long as there
is metal, it is thru out the entire unit.

Nothing special about that trans because it is in a euro car

They use Gm Trans & the US Mfg uses Euro, across some vehicle lines & models

Testimonial: "thank you teddy. was leaning towards it but the customer was coming back with all this forum info and wouldn't just do it... now I have alittle more amo to shoot and possibly get them to replace/rebuild it..."

Do an over the counter rebuild at a local trans shop You pull it they rebuild it or install a reman with a warranty

SOURCE: These codes comes out P0741

Your torque converter is not locking up.
The solution is to have the torque converter replaced and the transmission serviced.
Hopefully, you are still under warranty and can get it repaired it for free.
If not, it can get pretty expensive.

SOURCE: I have. 98 BMW 528 I and the transmission won't

This means the transmission has gone into safe mode. Usually happens if there is an ABS sensor that has gone, is the ABS light illuminated?

I have a 1998 BMW 528 I. The drivers side door latch will not catch. So door will not close or lock

Wit the door open, using a srewdriver, use it to throw the catch, then see if the latch locks into position. if it doesn't then a new catch will be required as the locking latch spring inside the latch would have broken
