Horn doesn't work - 2000 Porsche 911 Carrera

Try connecting power directly to the horn and see if it goes off. If not, it would seem it needs replacing. If it works, maybe the horn switch on your steering wheel is broken. A simple process of elimination.

Did you unplug the horn first & put 12v to it

You have horn that doesn't work,get it working,
then you can work on what turns it on

I have never seen a horn relay fail in 50 years

does it work with the key fob but not with the switch then check the horn pad switch if doesn't work with either check the relay

Usually a sign the horn pad under the air bag is not working, or a wiring problem between the horn pad and the horn relay.

remove grill ck horns with jumper wires ck plug for power, if horns work .if horns dont work with jumpers replace . if no power ck fuse if good relay for signal and power if no signal when horn pushed either horn switch in airbag ,or cable reel witch need cked with special srs tools .

Hi, some time the push botton, Fuse, horn relay, horn or horn connecting wire have problem. before going to any electrician check the said items.

You can replace the horn. Check to see if the wires connected to the horn have power. Check with a test light. If power is present then the horns are bad.

Press panic button on the remote to check if horn is broken or if the switch in the steering wheel does not work.
Also check fuse for steering wheel module.

OK, try to use a test light and connect the horn lead to ground to see if there is current, and to see if it sounds. If it does, then the wiring is fine to the horn itself. The relay may click, but are the contacts ok? Maybe swap out the relay for a new one.

The horn is located at the front of the vehicle near the radiator. Before you even look at the horn, check the fuse - the horn has its own fuse. Then check the horn relay and then the horn. Lastly, if the horn still does not work check the horn switch/button
