Sounds like you need gearbox oil (transmission oil in USA) .... check your levels and top it up.

SOURCE: overdrive problem

the bulb has no feedback. so the flicker is only the bulb circuit. bad contact maybe. use overdrive all the time unless in mountains or towing.

Hi, my first recommendation would be to take the plugs out and visually inspect each one and check to make sure they are properly gapped, if they look fouled at all i would replace them without hesitation. try throwing a set of NGK plugs in the car to fix the misfires. other than that you may want to look at the wires. good luck joe

SOURCE: car doesn't have any power

This happened to me and yes it was caused by a timing belt i replaced it and guess what? My car took forever to pick up speed but once i hit 30mi than it was fine. So i found that one valve was bended so i had to rebuild the heads now its fine one way to find out if you have a faulty valve is by unpluging one of the spark plugs wires you are probably running on 3 cylinders thats why it has no power until it reaches some speed then its fine but when you stop and try to go again it does the same thing i recomed 4 you to go check the heads i bet thats what is wrong with your car. Youll end up paying arround 500 bucks! ! Parts and labor but its a. 1990 celica worth it? Yes its the best car i have ever owned!! And if it happens again i will fix it i love my celica! !

2004 Toyota Sienna. Replaced dead battery. Now I cannot shift out of Park into any other gear and my brake/stop lights are not working. Is it possibly a fuse? If so which one?

with what another dead battery? LOL
wow, when did it last run last week, 3 years ago?
what is mileage, 50k 500k?
engine run"? ok, my guess, is yes.
does head lights work with full brightness>? and fan blower on?
my guess, is yes.
how are my guesses doing?
  1. :is battery charged to 12.6vdc , rested? this be FIRST.
  2. the brake lights do in fact activate , park lockout on all a/t cars.
  3. so fix brakes first. yes, fuse, and is marked brake.
  4. did you read the operators guide, see the fuse boxes, and all are marked? see the number of boxes in car, as many as 3 ?
  5. if the fuse is good, key on, 12vdc on both sides , we then check for 12vdc to the brake switch, ok its good, now brake pressed key on, the switch output goes to 12vdc and all brakes glows.
  6. of 0v now, the switch is bad,if 6vdc its a shorted line, you do know that brake lamps do short ,right, so replace them is 1 time easy fast fix. FOR SURE.

the operators guides of most cars cover fuses. this is like automatic check we do on all cars made, my hand lurches to glove box.
the guide is free for 10 + years. if lost, its free online at

1997 Toyota Camry gearshift problems

It seems like to much of a coincidence that it started after you changed the trans oil. You, or someone may have used the wrong oil. Modern automatics are very sensitive to the exact factory recommended blend. Dump the oil and go to toyota for the recommended lube and start over. Be sure the trans is filled correctly...only up to the hot mark if the trans is hot, not just the engine.

SAAB 2002 93 automatic gear stuck

you have to push your shift override button? Your cable that runs from your ignition/steering column to your shift knob could be worn and therefore loose not allowing the car the be shifted out of park (as if your key weren't in the ignition). Hope this helps
