I have a proton gen2 and the immobilzer has immobilized the car. When I put the key in to turn engine on nothing happens

Have to get the original key or change the whole barrel with new key

If there is a blinking car icon with an "X" over it. This icon means the Immobilizer has been activated and hence won't allow the car to start. It could be due to a bad SCU, Start Control Unit. The SCU is actually the ignition switch on these cars.
Most of the time it's triggered by the anti-theft system..You can try this trick i learned that the dealers won't tell you...try locking and unlocking of the doors five times with the remote to reset the immobilizer and see if this helps.

you really need the dealer for this one. car is too new and should be under warrenty. This should not of happen. Most likely you have a computer issue with codes stored that will direct the technician in fixing this.

aftermarket IMMO?
if yes, then you need to read the book that came with it
lost that, then contact the Manufacture. and tell them the model number.

why not post symptoms and if OEM or aftermarket IMMO.
btw , no year car stated,,, so, there will be no exact answers due to that one fact.
is this USA car or CaNADA. some are very different.

2004volkswagen start up but if shut right back off

its in valet mode or immobilzer kicked in , try turning ignition on and off 10x ,, turn round till you see all warning lights , then right round to off again , good luck

Immobilzer problem proton gen2

The ignition key holds a sort of RFID chip. If you open it to change remote control battery or you dropped it to pieces and the chip comes off, you will not be able to start your car. Get your spare key and use it to start. The key that cannot be used to start has to be replaced/reprogrammed.

If his answers are airy and unsatisfactory then I suggest you enlist the aid of legal counsel to ensure you do not get ripped off.

immobilizer light light flashing means your ignition key transponder worn or faulty ignition switch lock cylinder antenna ring. read keys.the immobilizer control module faulty or ECM.NEED HAVE VECHICLE CODE SCAN SEE WHAT FAULT CODE YOU ARE GETTING.

that is bollox,the dealer has 30 mins to recalibrate the system or it will shut down and need all he said,is he for real a mazda dealer.........or are you rich looking????? get it to another dealer,ask them to get 2 keys and recalibrate(assuming the first dealer has not caused a meltdown of the system.....)the problem you may have is they may not know about the 30 min rule...its to stop thieves from changing keys on stolen cars.......

immobilzer common problem .feed starter solinod switch direct. if starter turns and starts with ignition on then link wire problem if turns and but dont starts with ign on then immobilzer
